Does comma four work in cars with intelligent cruise control already present?

I have a skoda karoq 2023 with travel assist (I know the website says compatible but that's only if you have adaptive cruise control & lane assist but what I have is a higher spec), which is basically like an intelligent cruise control. I'm keen to try out the comma four, but would it work with such a car? Eg has someone tried a comma four on a BYD or a say a Nissan that already have level 2 semi-autonomous driving?

Definitely, it will work. You can already use SunnyPilot and FrogPilot, Škoda is among the supported forks.

It only works on cars with the required hardware for self driving, such as Adaptive cruise control eith active lane keeping. Out of the box compatible cars can be seen on their site. https://comma.ai/vehicles

But then BYD should also work for example, and that's not listed?

It won't just work with any car, someone has to make it work with that car. Many manufacturers also encrypted the can bus, so someone also needs to break the encryption.
