This isn't a surprise is it? The Chinese and Canadian government worked together to make sure Chinese car companies could sell a limited number of cars in Canada. These new companies will need a place to showcase their vehicles and also a place to service them. I'm not buying a car that can't be serviced within 100km of my house and ideally within 25km. The guy that replaced my brakes and changes my oil likely won't help me much with an EV. That's going to mean a dealership near me before I consider them.

It's funny watching people trip over themselves thinking getting car prices to lower will affect the wages of workers. Here's the thing car prices have been the highest it's ever been, are wages in the auto sector highest it's ever been? I'm leaning toward a no.
