What cars are you noticing?

What cars and brands are you noticing in your area? QNX in it? Is it SDV? Are you noticing the shift away from the old car architecture? I'm seeing more newer Hyundai along with BMW, Lexus, Toyota. Curious in EU, are Chinese cars around? I saw a huge BYD billboard in Belgium Q4 last year, it struck me as I'm from the US and that is not allowed. This board feels like it could use a different type of topic recently.

I can only speak of what I see here in the US, I just seen the new 26 Nissan Muranos that have QNX, the more advanced ADAS systems, Stellantis products, GM products, Ford Products, Seeing more models rolling off the lines with the more advanced ADAS across multiple models and manufacturers. The next few years shall be interesting.

To add to that, seeing a major push across all automakers for SDV, actually seeing this is certain Govt vehicles like fire trucks for instance (not that they are using QNX) but seeing where it’s more signal processing through base strands that are programmed and the signals being sent through those pairs and being processed by the nodes that need that particular signal if that makes sense. Seeing things in multiple areas that will make the future very interesting. As far as vehicles in my area, in the area of the South most are Fords, Chevy, GMC products. I do see more teslas on the road but I do not see many EV’s on the road compared to ICE.

European here. Pretty much all our cars are SDV (or SDV-ready). And indeed an increasing amount of Chinese brands on the road. BYD probably being the bigger one. But I believe Europeans will for the most part remain loyal to legacy brands. The thing is, I think QNX has been in our cars for over a decade. The key is cars being 'SDV-ready' and increasing their reliance and usage of QNX. That's where royalties will grow.
