Looking at it on driving and a technology experience I don't think so. But something tells me the Chery will depreciate a lot faster and you'll lose that saving in its trade in or resale value in a few years.

Unfortunately Chery’s software and ADAS behavior are quite poorly implemented and unrefined. Materials are also generally quite cheap-feeling. BYD software and ADAS implementation is a lot better, and materials/build quality are noticeably better.

They did improve the ADAS a lot in the super hybrid but yeah agree on the material quality.
