Issue with BYD Infotainment Screen

Hello everyone! ( I haven’t found a similar issue in the BYD Groups or forums in Reddit or Facebook. Yesterday around 12pm my screen looked like that, (first 3 photos), with that line in the middle , half the screen was looking weird (like, darker?) like those issues with LCD LED tvs. It is a BYD Song Plus 2026 in México (BYD Seal U in Europe ) Obviously I called to the dealer and scheduled a revision, the suv has the warranty and all that . But after 1 hour I returned and turned on the car and the screen again and it was fixed , (last 2 photos) everything looked as always. I tried a couple of times restarting (pressing the volume control 10 seconds) in case was something related to software but didn’t work, it just got fixed by itself. Have you seen anything similar to this issue before? Thanks!

That’s not a software issue. You need to your screen replaced under warranty, not “repaired”.

I know! It doesn’t look like a common issue , and I believe will need a new screen but it is weird why now it is working perfectly as before

Most likely a loose connection inside the screen housing. I once had a computer screen that fixed itself randomly, or if I pressed really hard on the bezel.

Fortunately, it got fixed temporarily, but I agree, you should ask the dealership for a replacement as soon as it happens again, especially if it’s the new model.

The first thing to do is take it in for a diagnosis and show them those photos so they can check it out. Fortunately, it doesn't affect the car's functionality, but it is important to take it in.
