I looked up this car on Google it has great specs across the board! Where are you located? And how much is this vehicle?

Aluseda 2026-01-02 20:39

Congratulations! I prefer Sealion 7

Aluseda 2026-01-02 20:40

I only learned about this little car from your comments! Where did you find it? How much does it cost? I looked up its specs it's amazing in every way!

I am based in the Uk, and it starts from £47k+, but I am getting it via leasing (salary sacrifice schema)

Whats the percentage of EV-s in BYD sales, this article is about BYD overall sales including different kind of hybrids.

Icefeldt 2026-01-02 22:52

The article states: BYD BEVs in 2025: 2.25 million BYD BEVs and plug-in hybrids in 2025: 4.6 million

So why is my BYD stock so limp? It has gone up less 50% in the last 4 years.

seanmonaghan1968 2026-01-02 23:55

I see these every time I drive in Brisbane australia, BYD is everywhere and soon they launch their 4x4 range which will rock Toyotas world

I wanted the sealion 6 but buying it within a business so to avoid FBT for employee I had to go full EV. So went Sealion 7.

*cries in USA*

Right now BYD is focused on market dominance, and usually when a company is focused on this, profit margins slip. On top of this there is intense competition in the EV market in China.

I feel like I read this headline every month.

daaaaneeeey 2026-01-03 08:44

Little car? 😄 Almost 5 meters long and ~2.5 tons in weight? I had the first contact at the local dealership and fell in love at first sight. ~51k Euro.

IF you wanna think that... You should buy BYD stock while it is down 30% last 12 months.. While you're at it, Evergrande properties in China can ONLY GO UP.. I have a seal performance how is the sealion 7 go?

whatdoihia 2026-01-04 12:03

Two reasons- 1) When BYD sees efficiency gains it tends to rollback prices, Walmart style. This means in the short-term less revenue.. 2) BYD is comparatively boring with their mainstream product offering. By comparison Xiaomi has seen a huge surge due to their widely popularized offers, even if more niche in nature. Both points means in the short term the stock might not pump up in value but long term the company is very well positioned.

daaaaneeeey 2026-01-04 13:35

Its the performance version (AWD, 530hp, 4.5sec 0-100kph)

Fishtoart 2026-01-04 15:42

I also think they have the most anemic marketing of any major company, at least in the US.
