Should I be worried / heater noise

Edzz84 | 2025-12-30 07:16 | 20 views

I've had my Byd Seal Excellence for a month now. 3200km behind, all been mostly good. Now I noticed a raspy sound coming from around "engine bay" when my heater was on before drive. I guess this is not a normal sound when heating max? Finnish winters might be difficult for bev's tho. Sound on for the video, pls.

Yeah, these weird sounds are normal. Multiple people asked this before in this subreddit. I also wonder regularly what new noises the heating makes when I come to the car. Sometimes it is a "clack clack clack" sometime it is a humming noise, somitimes the one you got. As we have 6 years of warranty I do not really care as of now ;)

Mine sounds like a fan blowing

yes this is normal. it's your heat pump.

Yes this is normal and makes similar noise on the other extreme end as well - in hot weather conditions when the heat pump is working hard to cool down the cabin temperature.

Yea I know it's the heat pump but how tf is it this loud? 😬

Edzz84 2025-12-30 14:09

Yea I think that's how I think it should sound.

I have a privaye maintenance leasing deal so not really fucks given if something breaks but the heater is quite important in finnish winter =D

My old kIA eNiro sounded like that and after some months started to sound like a diesel pump. The dealer replaced the heat pump under warranty.
