Don't use the "recycled" air. Make sure the car is getting the air from outside.

Low speed heat on the windscreen at all times, even running it at just 19c and 2 speed works

Clean you windscreen with diswashing liquid and remove all air fresheners. Fill up 2 socks with cat litter crystals and place under the front seats. Weigh them first. When they get heavy, place them on a heater to dry out until the original weight.

Was having the same problem on a trip a few hours ago on my BYD Atto 2.
Also I don’t know why they didn’t put a manual hot/cold mode but made it only automatic.
(If there is one I don’t know how to do it since I had the car for less than a month)
My guess is that while the cold mode is active moisture will accumulate in the evaporator, and if the climate control switches to hot mode the moisture will evaporate and immediately condense on the colder surfaces, in this case your windows.
I’ll try on the return trip to leave it to High (heat) mode with the fans kept to the minimum speed.

I am facing the same issue and using defrost mode seems to be draining my battery faster

Leave the AC on constantly.

Me also. Winter here.
I think is the low glass quality. EG: When passing in colder zones it gets steamy fast when you have your car in like 22C if passing by a colder valley in highway ( i have the recycled air always OFF)

2nd this. Clean it, clean it again and again. Use something like dish soap with a slash of vinegar and then just wipe it clean/dry. Also make sure you air is coming in from outside, not recycled

You’ve got a Demist control button on the console, right there looking at you. Use it.
Don’t use heat. The demist function uses cold air from the AC. You want to inner and outer temps of the glass to be as close as possible so condensation doesn’t form.
I find that leaving that function on all the time in cold, wet and humid weather is a reliable method to stop or reduce screen fogging. Turning it off because you think the problem is fixed means it’ll happen again within minutes and can be quite sudden, catching you out and potentially causing a hazard.

I noticed this in my Seal if I don't leave the AC on auto for the whole drive – even then, sometimes it will not help especially if I have passengers (the more people in the car the more moisture they are exhaling).
so now I generally turn the AC on remotely for 5-10 mins before I star the journey. haven't had the issue since then

I always park it in the same spot, you can also honk the horn with the app and see its location

(Haha real funny)
I love the car, the only downside that I noticed in this month is the very short range, the real range on the highway is ~200km
BYD Atto 2 Boost btw
