Bought a demo - was my vehicle not configured correctly for retail?

We bought a demo Sealion 7 about 8 months ago. Love the car, but for whatever reason the software side of things is a bit odd. Normally when you check update notes, it gives you a summary of the changes, however ours is scant on details and mentions PDI and VDS. Upon looking these up, it seems PDI stands for Pre-Delivery Inspection and VDS is Vehicle Diagnostic System. Is there a dealer-side system that the cars run on for demos? Perhaps when handing the vehicle over, they never properly converted us to a retail version. I’m a bit lost on this so would appreciate if anyone has any insight/experience on this! Can’t be bothered resetting to factory if it isn’t going to resolve this. My gut tells me that this is something that would be a bit more of an involved dealer change at the service centre (ODB, etc.) Thanks!

I’d call the dealer and ask. Servicing will be able to tell you instantly.

May I know where you purchased demo cars? Am interested to buying one myself.

All dealerships sell the demos at the end of the year! We just picked ours up. Got a Seal U for 33k instead of 43k because it was the demo with a few miles on it. Just check around all the dealerships for them.
