Sealion 7 screen washing - anyone else’s rubbish?

bucky_o_hare_ | 2025-12-25 18:19 | 30 views

Got my Sealion 7 recently, is anyone else’s screen washing poor? The fluid seems to come out the actual wiper and doesn’t spread well and doesn’t spread well meaning the passenger side of the screen doesn’t was well. Anyone else experiencing this or got any advice?

Did you try and refill it ?

Yeah I don’t think that’s the issue. There is fluid, just doesn’t seem to spread or clean well.

Mine is fine. Been on some super messy motorways lately and wipers did their job nicely

And does your fluid come out the wiper sticks? I.e there’s no jets under the bonnet or whatever?

It also needs refilling once a week 😂

Oh really? Particularly small?

I use a local petrol station to fill it up regularly. You pay £3 for however many seconds, my previous car wouldn’t be filled within that time, my SL7 is full with plenty of time to spare.

Is there a digital warning when it’s low?

Yh but it comes on when it is pretty much empty. Mine has the warning on more than it doesn’t as I need to fill up that regularly.

Ask the dealer to adjust the jets for you. You can do it yourself with a needle.

yup. same as yours, liquid comes from both wipers, I can actually see those streams. As I said - no issues during my recent 3000km trip on motorways across 5 countries. Could it be that nozzles are blocked on yours?

Yeah I might try cleaning them. Thanks

I didn't experience any mechanical issue with my wipers, though I agree the water coming out out the wiper blade is not as strong as a old-fashioned spray on type. What I found really useful was to add an aftermarket wiper fluid (pic related, it's what I use). After adding it I found the windshield to be more hydrophobic and water just rolls off easily. And the wiper blades became really smooth without juddering or leaving any streak marks. It's also effective in cleaning dust and grimes off the windshield. https://preview.redd.it/rhpbwmgmlg9g1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b1e69081de8d573edda9a4e5a78e1745b8a415c

The SL7 has a bigger tank than most VW cars 🤷‍♂️

I live in a city where dust storms happen often, made worse when rain joins in. I've had no issues with them and the water is the same.
