Atto 3 2024 model 40000km Anyone experienced a knocking sound when full turn from a carpark for example? Service coming up - is this a potential cv joint issue?

Check to see if the brake rotor is rusty. Seems to be very common atm and causes similar symptoms.

A clunking noise when turning at low speed is a common issue on atto3s due to a faulty sliding shaft joint in the intermediate steering shaft. So it could be it. It is too early for the CV joint to go imo. BYD knows about this shaft issue so they should have parts and replace it quickly under warranty. There is no danger in driving a car like this. It is just a play in a joint that transfers the steering force. It only affects 22-24 MY, 25MY have an upgraded part.
