Bought BYD Sealion 7 in Spain — how much did you negotiate off the MSRP?

Hi everyone, I’m considering purchasing a new BYD Sealion 7 in Spain and I wanted to ask: \- How much were you able to negotiate off the official MSRP when buying new? \- Did the dealer offer any discounts, incentives, or perks (e.g., accessories)? For my case, I’m planning to pay in cash and I won’t be applying for any government subsidies (e.g., MOVES), so I’m mainly interested in dealer-negotiated discounts only. I’m especially interested in real purchase experiences — final negotiated price vs. list price. Thanks in advance!

Nothing. Only part I was able to negotiate was the price for my old car that was included in the sale.

In Germany there were recently many promotions were the Sealion 7 was available at really good prices. I would recommend checking sites, where people can post „deals“ and orientate on these advertised prices then. In Germany my choice is mydealz. There are listed many promotions where the Sealion 7 is available between 40-50k depending on the version. In my case, the local dealer only discounted 3%, I was able to get my Seal with over 30% discount in the end, lol. It’s worth checking.

Interesting that (any official) BYD Car Dealers in Spain would accept "cash payments" for that. As you know, it is prohibited by law to make any purchase in cash exceeding 1000 euro's. Only if you are a private customer that makes the payment and you are without a tax address in Spain, the limit increases to €10,000. I fully understand why you won't be applying any government subsidies in that context ;-) But no, you'll probably notice there is almost no official negotiation margin on car like SL7.

50.420 € is the best offer I got for Excellence AWD version with white interior, paid in cash without financing options. No subsidies included and all tax included. I understand cash as bank transfer to the dealer.

By "cash" when buying a car it means bank private transfer from account = no loan = no leasing, etc. None of the dealers in EU would accept "pure cash". It also stands on dealers websites "cash": https://preview.redd.it/4wk10q638k8g1.png?width=1861&format=png&auto=webp&s=e57dde174fffb4bd7ca26fc0151ffaffde2018ea I do really have to find some other hobby :D

Ah OK I see, yeah "cash" for me means ... cash ;-) Otherwise I would call it a wire-transfer/bank-transfer of some sort.

Nobody uses "cash" as in real bills and coins anymore, especially when talking about buying a car 😳
