You didn't know about the ongoing wire fraud investigation? It's been a few years. It's the point of his involvement in DOGE, to shred investigations into himself, like at the SEC, FAA, NHTSA, etc. In the case of DoJ, perhaps not entirely successfully.

If TSLA crashes and the company is liquidated, Musk would still be the richest person in the world based on SpaceX and X.ai. As it is he’ll be the worlds first trillionaire this year - long before his trillion dollars in TSLA options are due. Chances are in 3 or 4 years he may be worth more than the next 9 people on the richest list combined. So there’s that. He’s hard to ignore.

Its the elon factor which is making me hesitant to buy a tesla. They're phenomenal cars that are unlike anything else out there... however i just feel at this point I shouldn't be supporting the man who helped bring this current world order into existence.
