Nice. Expect TSLA to pump another 10% on a new headline that their CEO pulls out of his hat.

bonfuto 2026-01-13 15:03

I'm trying to think of whatever else that's already been done he can decide to do better than everyone else. Self-balancing scooters maybe? Robotic vacuums?

SisterOfBattIe 2026-01-13 15:05

Micron and Nvidia are happy selling wildly overpriced silicon that will be liquidated for scrap metal once this nonsense pops.

flying_butt_fucker 2026-01-13 15:11

That rabbit would be: [https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/spacex-may-skip-ipo-for-tesla-reverse-merger-says-chamath-palihapitiya/cmU9tHpR43s](https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/spacex-may-skip-ipo-for-tesla-reverse-merger-says-chamath-palihapitiya/cmU9tHpR43s)

FreudianYipYip 2026-01-13 15:13

This guy TSLAs.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 15:16

Flying robotaxis. He hinted to that a few weeks back on a podcast. Sounded like sky-high weed hallucinations. But the stock pumped 10% on the rumours. And funny is that TSLA always prices the pump in but never adjusts down when it‘s debunked or not materializing. So much vision priced in, if the CEO makes a real misstep, this could fold dramatically.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 15:16

Yeah that was yesterday‘s reversal I think. They will still pump a few times.

RagingDemonsNoDQ 2026-01-13 15:18

Expect XAI and X to burn even more cash since now the UK are investigating Elon

rocketonmybarge 2026-01-13 15:23

Promise FSD again for the 420th time???

bonfuto 2026-01-13 15:25

It's going to work in ... 2 weeks. I guess they have to announce what they are going to rename the robotaxies, that's got to be good for 5% bump in the stock.

zitrored 2026-01-13 15:25

I swear that some TSLA investors already believe they are buying into all of musks other businesses. They are a confused bunch.

CivilWay1444 2026-01-13 15:29

He deserves a raise. 4 trillion?

frechundfrei 2026-01-13 15:32

If Elon overdoses, Wall Street will crumble.

shiroandae 2026-01-13 15:34

It also goes up on positive news of competitors because we live in opposite world

jking13 2026-01-13 15:34

Datacenters on Mars next month!

JohnHazardWandering 2026-01-13 15:35

Other folks have made flying eVTOL vehicles like a car, like Pivotal.  Musk thinks they can copy it in a few years and sell that. Add on feel for 'full self flying'. At night while you're sleeping it can go out autonomously and be a taxi to earn you money. Then they'll design a taxi version without any controls.  Musk's infinite money glitch.

dextercho83 2026-01-13 15:44

So that means the stock is going up again, right? Because performance and output be damned

AMCorBUST2021 2026-01-13 15:45

There’s a rumor of SpaceX reverse merger with Tesla for IPO. After seeing Hegseth and Musk last night, I think that’s a no.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 15:45

You forgot that the flying neural network will have about 10x parameters and the flying HW inference chips (aka AI-X) will use 10x less energy and cost about 10x less than the NVIDIA state of the art chips. They will also license the self-flying algorithm to Uber. All subject to regulatory approval, of course.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 15:46

This I think is a well underestimated risk. All TSLA 10-20 times too high valuation is banking on one man.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 15:47

Well, my mom bought TSLA out of a vibe.

th3bigfatj 2026-01-13 15:50

the US government is going to pump so much money Elon's way over the next few years that it doesn't matter for him (though Tesla investors might still get smoked)

Sanpaku 2026-01-13 15:58

Were I Musk/board, I'd use this absurd valuation for more secondary offerings. Company fundamentally worth \~150 B, trading at 1500 B. Dilute shareholders by 10% over the next 2 years, and that's 150 B of cash for the treasury, perhaps enough to make Tesla immune to market failures over the next decade. It's not as if autonomous taxis or humanoid robots will ever be worth that. And they could raise the share price floor from $40 to maybe $80.

ShotBandicoot7 2026-01-13 16:01

Love this one!

[deleted] 2026-01-13 16:10

2:20 but doesn't Optimus run on FSD SOFTWARE.... whops! ... nobody noticed that one, right. 3:40 Elon: DO NOT CENSOR MY CSAM! ... < yes, that is what he is saying there!

4Yk9gop 2026-01-13 16:38

Space mining.

ComicsEtAl 2026-01-13 16:43

Who’s concerned exactly? The board isn’t. The shareholders aren’t. Who’s left?

petr_bena 2026-01-13 17:16

dude just pumped us government to fund grok

beren12 2026-01-13 17:24

Great. When?

beren12 2026-01-13 17:24

No, April first.

flying_butt_fucker 2026-01-13 17:32

The market stays irrational for longer than most can stay solvent. Although I'm a bit wary that the whole market will become insolvent at some point.

After-Cartoonist-157 2026-01-13 18:47

What did they talk about last night?

AMCorBUST2021 2026-01-13 18:56

You can look it up but basically a fluff conference on SpaceX is like Star Trek. Hegseth did support Space Mission and also said XAI to be used for military application.. but my read was a firewall between Tesla and the other musk businesses. Nothing was said or hinted at.. but I get the sense they will let Tesla take a slide. The government wants the surveillance capability of the satellite and the AI assist, but does need a dude dressed up in a robot suit.

After-Cartoonist-157 2026-01-13 19:07

Jesus!! Those people scare me.

dumpsterfire911 2026-01-13 19:25

XAi going to struggle with big tech companies choosing Gemini as their ai

VitaminPb 2026-01-13 19:51

I’m so looking forward to the April 1 unveil and the announcement of Tesla moving into the beach front property market in Arizona and New Mexico.

ReSpectacular 2026-01-13 20:38

last time musk sold 20billions worth of tsla stock price dropped 65%. 150b will annihilate market cap.

ionizing_chicanery 2026-01-13 20:58

Gemini isn't just better but much more cost effective as it runs on Google custom silicon. Elon talks a big game about XAi making custom hardware (including complete insanity like doing chip fabrication themselves) but this would at best be years away and I doubt they last that long.

LowIllustrator2501 2026-01-13 21:21

He can do this: https://www.investopedia.com/news/tesla-will-merge-spacex-nomura/ I'm sure this will pump up Tesla stocks.

BringBackUsenet 2026-01-13 21:22

Hair transplants?

Flat-Opening-7067 2026-01-13 23:03

TSLA is a house of cards. Look out below.

practicaloppossum 2026-01-13 23:57

I beleive IBM already has the rights to AIX (and has since the 80s), so, just like CyberCab, Elon would have to find a different name.

Jendaye 2026-01-13 23:59

I'm convinced we're all dead or swallowed up by a black hole and this reality is what's inside

practicaloppossum 2026-01-14 00:03

Probably not. If Musk sells stock that's a signal that he doesn't beleive in the company's value, so it make sense to sell. If the company itself creates a bunch of stock out of nowhere and sells it, that will largely go unnoticed (big companies do that fairly often).

Careless-Spell3286 2026-01-14 01:06

Developing offspring?

Careless-Spell3286 2026-01-14 01:10

Elon's overdose? How about right now? Hopefully he's alone.

Careless-Spell3286 2026-01-14 01:14

Really? I'm hoping for it's demise not recover.

theviolatr 2026-01-14 01:23

He forgot to mention they will be powered by Optimi - that adds another trillion in market cap

neonmantis 2026-01-14 03:27

Pentagon has a giant unaccountable black budget they can flow towards Musk

neonmantis 2026-01-14 03:28

> he doesn't beleive in the company's value, nah bro its because he needs it save civilization and make us multiplanetary.

Online_Ennui 2026-01-14 04:26

>Flying robotaxis We all love The Fifth Element Elon, we get it...

neliz 2026-01-14 13:47

I remember when Tesla announced their own ai silicon, which was just some off the shelf ARM chip with an overpriced scheduler. If you have $5000 you can start producing this in China yourself

BajaRooster 2026-01-14 17:50

His shtick is to add a sci-fi name to something already done and promise it will be revolutionary- in two years. Honestly, if he’d just develop a “cyber trash can” that can walk itself up the driveway on trash day it would be a gold mine. But nope.

SophonParticle 2026-01-14 23:06

They have a new groundbreaking mystery feature or product that’s coming soon!

Ok-Bill3318 2026-01-15 14:21

Oh no! Anyway….

Both_Painter7039 2026-01-15 18:30

Living+

bonfuto 2026-01-15 18:59

I just came back here to note that you were right, he's going to make it a subscription instead of a product you can buy.

Toughtittytoenails 2026-01-15 19:48

Lol tell me don't know ECM without... 150b does not go unnoticed. This is not market cap. That's real money that needs to go in.

Chokedee-bp 2026-01-15 22:26

Elon will announce that spacex is buying billions in unwanted cyber trucks and billions in X-AI servers to be launched in space. Basically keep funneling money from spacex to pretend Tesla and X-AI are not money pits

InvisibleBlueRobot 2026-01-18 02:46

He's not dead. He's just in the process of transferring his mind to his neural network. Stock climbs 300%.

fremeer 2026-01-18 10:26

In terms of r&d it does feel like Google is currently a little ahead of everyone else. Funnily enough meta has the worst LLM but possibly some of the best research out there that if they can actually capitalise on might allow them to leap frog everyone but Google. xAI and openAI are solid but just kind of feel like they are going down a dead end. Could be wrong since I'm a layman but that's how I see it.

Opcn 2026-01-19 09:26

AI is probably going to stick around in some form for white a while. Hopefully not in a porn that cranks out CSAM at the drop of a hat.

Opcn 2026-01-19 09:31

If you were trying to benefit the company that's the obvious answer. If you're trying to benefit one specific shareholder who has a lot on his books you let him do the offering. Guess which approach the Tesla board are taking?

Opcn 2026-01-19 09:41

Shareholders in the mutual funds that are also shareholders.
