I would treat this just like any other make or dealer. Rarely used and just a profit center for them

You already made the mistake of buying a scam machine - don’t compound it by paying for the scam extended warranty.

You'll find that we're fairly negative about Tesla on this sub, but seeing that you already own this car - my two cents:
I would not own a Tesla that isn't in warranty. Full stop.
You are way too much "at their mercy" if the thing starts giving a bunch of error messages and shutting down. There are zero 3rd party options for a whole host of failure possibilities.
So I'd either buy the warranty or sell the car.
IMHO, I'd just sell it. At the front end, my estimate of total cost of ownership for a car usually doesn't include monthly payments to the OEM til the end of time, because I'm fearful that they've been so shitty about sharing software/repair procedures that I'll be trapped.

Warranties are almost never worth it. Most people don't use warranties.

I was on this sub before I bought a model 3. In fact this sub convinced me to buy a model 3. I felt all the issues were overblown mostly due to Elon or insert political reference. Ended up being the best car I’ve ever owned. Charge at home for 1/4th the cost of California gas. My Hondas and Subarus gave me more issues at this point.

Hopefully that includes KY and not just Vaseline.

I wouldn't trust them to honor it anyway. I'm sure they'll put on some dog & pony show though.

Really - your reddit profile is a week old. So either you're bragging about a week old car not breaking down...or you've got some old username you had to ditch, right?

I think the first thing you have to do is figure out what the extended warranty covers. You can then look up the highest cost procedure that it covers and at that point you can decided worth.
If you decide not to purchase the warranty, I would suggest you take the monthly cost and put it away to cover possible issues that the warranty would have taken care of.

Tesla insurance has a shit record in settleing claims, why would you expect them to honor a different sort of insurance (extended warranty)
