It happens. Sometimes they activate instantly, and other times it takes 1 or 2 weeks.

Send an email to the seller, they will activate from their end and it’ll take 2 hours

you need to get the dealer to do it.

Try putting this in some car groups, mention your car details year of model and type of phone as well. Plus, what app you are trying to connect? Give more information. Or look up on YouTube there is probably plenty of instructional videos you can watch or Google instructions that may help as well. 👍

How long have you had the car for? Are you registered in the BYD app with the same email the car was purchased with? Is your car purchased directly by you? Or through a finance firm?

It's 2024 model, phone is S24 ultra, byd connect app.

The dealer linking your email is crucial, as the QR code method is often replaced by this backend registration for newer models like the Seal. You can't find the QR code because the modern method for your BYD Seal (Sealion 7) usually involves your dealer registering your email with BYD first, then the car appears in your app after a few days; the QR code method is older or for specific scenarios, so contact your dealer to link your account, then restart the app, and if it still fails, try reinstalling the app. Here's a step-by-step guide to get connected: 1. Dealer Registration is Key: Contact your BYD dealer and confirm they've registered your email address (the one you use for the app) and your car's VIN with BYD's system. This step is crucial and often missed; the car won't show up otherwise. 2. Wait for Activation: After the dealer registers, it can take a few hours to a couple of days for the system to sync and activate your car in the app. 3. In the BYD App (On your S24 Ultra): Download and log in to the official BYD app. Refresh: Restart the app, or even uninstall and reinstall it, to refresh the connection. Check for the car: Your vehicle should now appear automatically in the app, without needing to scan a QR code. If You Still Can't Connect: Check Vehicle Settings: Look in the car's screen under Vehicle Settings or Digital Key to see if your phone is listed or if there are other pairing options, but the dealer method is primary. Contact BYD Support: If the dealer can't help, use the "Contact Us" feature within the BYD app (My Account > Contact Us) to get direct support, suggest this Reddit post. The QR code method is often bypassed now, with the dealer linking your account to the car's digital key system directly for a smoother digital key experience on your Samsung phone. HERE ARE A COUPLE OF YOUTUBE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS I FOUND FOUND YOU MAY FIND SOME OTHERS IF YOU DO A SEARCH https://youtu.be/SWECD2zXubQ?si=Tz-OdslKUVfUImpt https://youtu.be/EfCmdzJNKro?si=ToJqYjRgofLGJSCc https://youtu.be/q5lUm6iKKX4?si=fIVPx0FOOmRA4i_5 I hope this information I found for you is of some use, I can’t give any personal advice because I own a Toyota RAV4 and the dealership had already helped me hook up the app when I bought the car
