Want to buy a m3p with tax credit but there are none in inventory, am I cooked?

First of all sorry I know we hate Tesla but I'm banned from the other eight subreddits. Second, title. I don't get it: * I thought only free colors were eligible for the credit, but according to the order page all colors are the same price * If I order now can I still get the tax credit? Am I a dumbass if I make a payment on a car I haven't seen yet? Realistically what are the chances I'm getting burned? Thanks for any advice. I hate musk. Like the cars though.
