Picked mine up on a Friday, took until the middle of the week after. You don't get a message it just connects, make sure you register with the same email you gave the dealer.
Byd seal app was connected before the car was delivered I could see it's charge and that it was locked on back of the wagon

Same thing for me. Got the car on my app 1 week earlier so I could see them charging
It took 3 weeks, since they said that, lately, something had changed in the SIM activation, and this was at the beginning of November.
I think it matters where youre from. What I understand is that BYD uses a different network, but you can change it on the settings. It took a bit of time for my dealer to register my account. Once they did, I had to change the network settings. I just kept trying to connect, and one day it worked. Took a few weeks here in the Philippines.
Yeah, NL over here, had to nag the Salesguy on a Friday to chase someone over the weekend, was sorted Sunday eve/Monday morning.
