V 3.0.2 Android. I can't pull updates, but if the car downloads one I can run it from there. Did that with the current version.

How about the "autopilot" improvement? Is it a real game changer?

Don't know, didn't drive it after the update yet. I was happy to see the option to switch lane departure action to vibrations instead of forced maneuver. I'm curious to see how it works.

Mine crashed during the upgrade to v3.0.0 I ran from the car, for some reason I was able to rerun the upgrade via the app and it worked. But I think it was a glitch from the app!

My APP is on 3.1.0 my car not 🤷‍♂️ Haven't got any notification so far but yeah I didn't use the car since 2-3 weeks

This is not bragging. you can actively start the update.

Nah the LDA is affected by this as well, which is absolutely ass if you don't have the update. Yet to be tested if it still tries to punt you off the road though.

Have driven it 2k kilometers on this update. It's much better, I almost always drive with ICC now. Byd is putting in work

Really? In Australia and i got 3.0.0 weeks ago, i wonder when i get the upgrade. If ICC is noticeably improved I’d be very happy.

When I got it from the showroom they said that updates will only be done by the service centre. It's still early for me though, as I got it 4months ago, so I haven't taken it in yet to check.

How is your experience in dubai with the sealion ? Your was the electric not the hybrid, correct ?

I purchased my Sealion 7 in April. However, the service center in DIP 1 is completely unaware of OTA updates. Despite taking my car inside for a check (October end), they informed me that there are no updates available.

Sealion 7 is a good car, but the only issue I have is with the OTA updates. I’m completely baffled as to why Al Futtaim is managing the software updates for the car. It should be an OTA update system.

I'm loving it. Yeah, it's the EV, not the PHEV (which is the Song Plus). My wife has a DEWA (public) charger by her basement at work, so despite staying in an apartment, charging's never been a problem and more are being added all the time. Travelled with it to Abu Dhabi & Fujairah, and it's always been straight forward to find a charger. Besides that, I got the RWD, but the performance is awesome, particularly on highway driving. It has an amazingly roomy, comfortable & quiet interior & I think it looks & feels great overall. I'd say it's one of the best investments I could have made, in terms of car choice.

Yeah, but it's probably for localisation. They also haven't made a deal with Etisalat/Du for data plan for the car's SIM, which is not great either.

dude, you're downvoted because you're complaining about a Reddit customer (which is what BYD is) instead of complaining about Reddit allowing this to happen. Who is making money on your back? BYD, no it's Reddit and that's how it works. Period.

Actually, I ended up buying a 3rd party device, which makes the ICC 100X better In a drive of 130km, It stayed activated for 98% of the whole ride, meaning I could remove my hands and let the car drive for the whole duration if I wanted to. It would take many years before byd build something like, considering how many km goes into training this device.

Really? Can you tell what this 3rd party device is?
