I own one in Japan. Overall very happy with it, full of features you don’t them for the same price.
Hi, from 神戸, bro! 🤝 https://preview.redd.it/emt7myawx45g1.jpeg?width=2627&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=947114883e0fa2a6163bb158119d15f1309d7a22
Agree! TopBYD made inner customization great too!
Hi!!!! I was actually also thinking about blue but ended up giving in to white. Lol
Same in Australia, but i quiet like the left hand charging, for odd reason! I dislike the wireless charging because of cooling fan noise. And i found usb-c charging real fast. So i like putting my phone there (right section) and avoid fan noise. Little things i know
its weird if you have a passenger.. like my passenger will have to put their phone on my side. im using mag safe cover so if I do not remove my cover, i cannot charge wirelessly. looks like i need to go buy an extra cable for my car. lol
Try wired charging. It goes very fast. More practical than wireless. In my case i never charge wirelessly and passengers do it but it’s already on their side. Perhaps everyone is different. For me this coincidentally became preferred design for RHD
Same here. Greetings from Mie https://preview.redd.it/hmtpatz4fo5g1.jpeg?width=3946&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16b113d43a55b2e61ed2682bca076ce08f75ed68
Do the BYD in Japan come with a Chademo? what's the max charging speed?
yeah it has a chademo and AC outlet. the max speed charging is 105kW
Thanks for the reply. What's the on board AC charger rating? Have you tried the V2L and V2H?
Doing a test drive next Friday. Looking forward to it.
Does Sealion7 in Japan has HUD displayed available?
Yes the sealion 7 comes with HUD in Japan.
I've test driven this car twice now and really liked it, especially during the second time (I could drive where I wanted around my neighborhood compared to around the dealership). I've read about annoying warning sounds when going over the speed limit. I tested that here but the sound didn't go off, is that Japan specific or was I not going fast enough to get a warning? I'm not expecting to be driving over the speed limit but it made me wonder if the sealion 7 for the Japanese market is slightly different compared to abroad. I've also read problems on Facebook from people who own the car in the UK, phantom braking, not being able to lock the car etc which all sound annoying at best and dangerous at worst. Has anyone had those kinds of issues in Japan?
