I have a new Denza B5 and I really want this car to last. When it comes time to washing the car does it make a difference if it pressure wash or hand wash? Also if I am taking the car out to the beach or dessert and want to wash my under the car.. would it affect the battery?

I run my car through a brushless car wash with underbody wash everytime. No problems at all. I wash about 3 times a month. A ceramic coating on the paint will make it look good longer. Had mine done before delivery.

I didn't think the B5 was here yet? I recommend pressure washer to apply foam gun suds, hand wash and hose down. If you're using a pressure washer, be carefull not to go to close and keep the pressure low and on spray pattern not jet (thin single stream). It really depends how strong your pressure washer is though, mine puts holes in concrete on jet mode, and it's not a big unit.  The battery is a sealed unit, so only the same issues of ingress points as other vehicles, cable connections etc.

The B5 is a rugged off-roader I’m sure the water will be fine on it.

Pressure wash is better in my opinion. To avoid swirl marks, you can cannon foam once, let it loosen, pressure wash, then do it again but gently brush this time. I have chosen liquid wax for the extra shine and protection instead of ceramic coating. Ultimate paint protection is PPF.
