Probably a ridiculously over the top demo to compensate for an underwhelming vehicle reveal
You mean the 2020 roadster unveiled 8 years ago?
If it was at the design studio it didn’t go fast. But maybe they got the hover thing Elon has teased working. AKA “flying.”
“No man ever went broke overestimating the ignorance of the American public.”
He’s announcing an announcement of a demo of a cool unfinished design he saw in a meeting. How do people take this person seriously?
Do people really still fall for this shit?
I’m all hopped up on hopeium!
It's probably something related to Optimus. I don't think he finds anything on the automotive side particularly exciting anymore.
Can’t be the Roadster. It’s gotta be another thing they will bring to market before the Roadster.
To give some perspective, the 2nd generation roadster unveil is closer in years to the 1st generation roadster production **than** the unveil is to today.
He didn't say the end of *what* year. /s
Probably four Optimus bots doing a Chinese fire drill.
Cybertruck 2?
[deleted]
The truest words I’ve ever heard Edit: read…
It’s never the roadster until it’s the roadster
You’re right, he could just be making shit up and there’s not even a cool new design of anything!
A demo of FSD doing the speed limit
Shareholders do. Price go up.
Elon says a lot of things.
*than* FTFY
End of which year?
Stonking the shares
I’m giving him credit it is actually cool, which in context of his past vaporware announcements is probably unfounded. Some past examples below maybe it will be as cool as these. - an “interplanetary transport system” that will put humans on mars by 2024 (pushed back from 2021) - a vacuum tube you can put a train like vehicle in and travel at high speed across long distances (by 2017 then 2020) - a tunnel you can drive under major cities to avoid traffic (LA-SF 2020) - a brain implant to control things with your mind (by 2021) - a sports car (took deposits in 2017) - a self driving car (1 million robotaxis by 2020) - a robot that can perform useful tasks (thousands of units in 2025, I think they already cancelled this one). Some products are late, sometimes companies have a miss. But any reasonably objective person would conclude Elon just basically makes stuff up he wants without any real knowledge if it’s even possible to do, and if so, how to actually do it. I used to think he was a genius. It’s clear he just has unlimited risk tolerance, luck, and possibly some mental issues. I don’t think he has much better than average intelligence and certainly not emotional maturity.
Throwing ball bearings at each other to show how durable they are.
Is it FSD?
So year 2033 then?
Speed limit is a suggestion
Fellas, fellas, he ALWAYS delivers on every promise. He’s a very trustworthy man. Super honest.
His post belongs under ElonEvenMoreBS.
Oh wow. You discovered that Elon Musk has overly optimistic timelines. Amazing. You should get the word out, because I don't think anyone has ever heard of this.
This, but unironically, except for timelines.
Maybe they finally made the semi work in a way that semi-works for customers. Mercedes kinda did, so it’s possible.
God why is everything so negative for you people?
[deleted]
Even put it in bold, that's crazy.
Gonna guess that's on account of MULTIPLE unfulfilled promises from elon
He’s finally gonna release robo hitler
Because they took $250,000 from people 8 years ago and have given virtually no updates since then other than some BS tweets that the car will float above the road… >[In February 2024, Musk posted on X that the production version of the Roadster would be unveiled in late 2024, deliveries would begin in early 2025, the car would be able accelerate to 60 mph in under 1 second.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Roadster_(second_generation)
Generally if people are discussing a topic and someone starts calling people losers, that isn’t the side with the strongest argument.
Auto wipers that don’t get set off every time I drive under some trees?
You're right. I'll ignore from now on
[removed]
People are loving their $39k, 500 mile range Cybertrucks!
Do people really have a problem with it not doing the speed limit? I set mine to 0% offset in chill mode and its spot on all the time.
Wasn't it a $50k deposit?
No they want to set it to hurry and then wonder why it's hurrying
Is robo better or worse than mecha?
It's always the last place you look because there's no need to keep looking.
How can you doubt him after those humanoid robots he announced totally changed the world I would think. *edit* whoosh
I hope you are right, however the "Tesla Design Studio" is not directly involved with the Optimus robot from what I'm reading (outside of possible designs). I do agree he doesn't seem to find automotive as exciting. I just don't know what he can demo that would shock the world, maybe an autonomous drive across the entire country? Or perhaps it IS something the robots can do that required the design team to orchestrate, perhaps a wild dance routine (please not this)
Frequent Sudden Deceleration 3.0.1
$100 says it’s something he’s way more excited about than any of is will be.
Better than setting to hurry and wonder why it's going slower than the average car
I bet it’ll be the very first stage concept of Optimus with the person in the skin right suit dancing side by side the actual Optimus doing the dance. Plus a live demo of some other AI assisted house cleaning features
Except that spec never existed. Adjusting for inflation since the reveal date, the $48k RWD 250mi truck doesn't exist, and the $85k Tri-Motor 500mi truck doesn't exist. But the AWD truck beat all the announced specs and came with a lot of interior upgrades for only $10k more than the initially announced price after inflation. The RWD finally got released with a much larger range of 350mi compared to the announcement, and costs about $30k over the announced price (maybe less if you consider the range boost).
More vapour
At least he can’t poorly glue interior onto a robo hitler, mecha hitler would be full of bubbling vegan leather
His point was nothing is good enough. The details aren't needed.
I just don't believe anything out of his mouth anymore.
Could be trucking fleet autonomy 😉
I set it to 15mph over yet it REFUSES and only does 10 or less. Very annoying
Michael Scott promising everyone there is going to be a big surprise
It must be pump-the-stock-o'clock!
I find it only speeds excessively if multiple cars around it are also doing it... Definitely annoying on an empty road but I see it as a kind of ticket-avoiding behavior.
An autonomous drive across the country with a robot in the frunk to plug in at superchargers
I think your conclusion is right. His biggest skill is gathering smart people and then actually letting them try things, which means he gets shown a lot of cool things. Unfortunately he's not good at evaluating which will actually succeed, nor keeping his mouth shut until he knows better. Luckily he has enough money to pursue all of them and the success of any one of them means earning billions...
end of year 2030
I don't know... Driving extremely fast is still enough to pull your foreskin back.
right. like the coast to coast FSD drive promised in 2016? It'll soon be 10 years and I doubt it'll happen by end of next year. The exception you made is mostly meaningless. If you extend your timeline to infinity then obviously most things will happen.
We’re going to need a new moon, Tesla will rocket to the first moon way too soon! 🚀🚀🚀
Damn. Like... Shit. That's crazy.
How many times are you guys going to fall for fake Elon musk announcements?
And where's "plaid" fit into it?
Someone needs his stock to go higher.
They've got the robots driving the cars!!! 😲
Clearly it’s a minivan.
Hyperloop v2.0!
This made me laugh but would love to see it eventually lol
The first ever autonomous drive cross-country was accomplished 10 years ago in 2015. I hope that’s not what he’s excited about.
???
You say a bunch of words and then agree saying that it's 10k and 30k more expensive AFTER inflation. And by the way, inflation is no excuse, he is smart enough to have caveated his announcement it needed.
New stock pump just dropped
So where is my Hyperloop? Also, if google promises to deliver AGI and it delivers it in 20years, that promise isn't worth much, is it?
Way to miss the point. One should never make more than one argument per comment on Reddit. The tl;dr is there was never a spec that was so cheap with such a long range. Trying to spin it and cry about a non-existent model as if they missed widely on both just seems pretty pathetic.
He's pretty clever - he didn't say which year!
And to separately discuss the other topic of how badly they missed on the trims that actually were announced in reality. I'd say the tri-motor was a huge miss. Basically missed on all the specs and the price. The low tier got a 25% price hike, but got 30% more range as well, but lost the tonneau. The mid tier was about 25% more too, it didn't get any spec upgrades, but it did get a lot of other upgrades that people easily pay thousands for with any competing vehicle. So no, it's not great... And I wouldn't buy one even though I actually like how it looks. But definitely not as big of miss as people like to whine about.
Doesn't matter. Stock will go up, that's all that matters to him. People are right that Tesla is not a car company - it's marketing company. They keep doing announcements, demos and tweets that only have one thing in purpose - to pump up the stock.
Didn‘t they promise Q3/2025 as final release date? Basically promising one of the best supercars ever? Which the competitors are already selling? 😀
Demo coming December 15th if we execute well. Accepting $50k deposits starting tomorrow.
Will it be all new autopilot hardware, with all cameras removed from the vehicle and an Optimus is driving like a human would drive with only two eyes. Only a few months away from launch right?
He said Cybertruck would be 40k and CT is very very far from that target. You are the one spinning around. The fact that the model doesn't exist is the whole point. He didn't deliver on his promise.
Most epic stock price pumping ...... ever ........
I’ll never buy a Tesla as long as Elon’s involved
🤣
They should rename this subreddit /r/elonmuskhate
I would hope this is for something significantly more interesting than a niche car that will hardly matter
On to the next grift, how’s Robotaxi going?
Source: https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1944585146952470601
Could be Optimus v3 not the Roadster.
>> Demo coming December 15th 2 weeks definitely
An idea so absurdly bad, it might actually be true
Roadster is the new Duke Nukem Forever.
It will happen. Just later than anyone wanted. And no, it's not meaningless, because the same accusations were thrown about with the Model S, the Model 3, the Model Y (even though that ended up coming out earlier than expected), the Falcon program, and so on. And no, just extending your timeline to infinity will not mean it will definitely happen. You are just starting with "I don't like his politics" and working backwards. That is all.
Well, for a marketing company they sure built the hell out of my model Y. Best car I’ve ever owned (30+ cars over the decades, and counting…)
Probably in the same place where you found the idea that a hyperloop was promised. Seriously, why come on here to make empty accusations? What could you possibly get from it? Or are you (like so many others that for some reason come on this subreddit to rant) completely mixing up Hyperloop and Loop? If so, the Loop is being built out in Las Vegas and its scope is being extended on an almost daily basis. And to address your hypothetical, of course it would still be worth something. How much will depend on context. If, for instance, they are the first to bring it out, then sure: they are late, but they clearly were doing something right while people like yourself stood on the sidelines and complained. If a dozen other companies brought it first, then it would be worth less.
no you're assuming too much. i said way back in 2017 that FSD wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Really stupid to assume so much when I didn't mention his politics at all anywhere. if you're wrong about something for 10 years, then you're just wrong. Period.
Throwback to when Tesla was still interesting & innovative. Forgot i was still following this sub. I'll see myself out now.
They are going to move the safety driver in the Robotaxi from the passenger seat to the back seat?
Who cares?
It’s just grok saying the n word
They’re moving to induction without a plug for Cybercab so I think they’ve given up on automating existing superchargers.
So all Teslas leaving the factory in 2016 did have all the hardware needed for Level 5 self driving?
I think they made him a little cranky with all those valid points
They made Optimus look like him.
Did you check the setting that “lets FSD decide how fast it should go based on surroundings” or whatever the prompt is? Because that’ll do it
They said a new roadster is coming for the 20th anniversary months ago, If you listened to Lars.
Amazing how many suckers still fall for Elon’s hype, every damn time.
He fixed his mistake **then** he marked it in bold.
Congratulations, You are getting Cybertruck MK2
Likely the smaller Model “y”
The and 1st generation roadster is closer in time to Tyrannosaurus Rex than that is to Stegosaurus!
In Elon Time? 2035
Not for the first 1,000 founders series orders, full 250k. Not like 50k is much better...
He didn't, and even pretended that he did with sarcasm, you silly goose
Ok, again the $40k cybertruck wouldn't have a range of 500 miles as people keep whining about.
Yeah, people are being a little silly on this IMO. Him bringing up Roadster just hurts him, it's not going to be that. If I were betting, they have Optimus able to enter exit Robovan or existing vehicles to be able to make deliveries or run errands. The ability to potentially to disrupt essentially all home delivery services is going to be more his style.
Nobody cares
How about a demo of FSD that doesn't change lanes every 5 seconds? That'd be neat.
Optimus ? Cheaper new model ? Or roadster 😩🙏🏼 ?
Maybe he's going to release the Epstein files 👀 😂 /s
I'm NOT falling for the hype **this time**... wonder what it could be... Starlink on Tesla's... Grok on Optimus... Roadster release.. dammit...I did fall for it...
Source?
No. You are wrong on the timeline and that is it. Again, just like some others on here, you are acting like you are the first person on Earth to discover his timelines suck. Welp, here's a gold star for you.
That was what was thought at the time. Since then, they've decided to concentrate on HW4. Rather than retrofit to HW3 (which may or may not have been possible theoretically), they've decided to just give anyone getting FSD when it is ready a free hardware swap. So while you are technically correct that HW3 will (probably) not run FSD when really finished, it's a distinction without a difference, as they will get the necessary hardware swapped in.
If you give all promises the grace of being “what was thought at the time” and extend the timeline to fulfill that promise to infinity, then you have removed all accountability for all promises.
Can't wait for the release...in 2020.
Ah great just a demo, not a product for sale.
no. predictions don't mean anything without a time.
Get with it, you owe me a couple since 2018
Remember the cybertruck
Can I ask why you’d pre order it given Tesla’s and Musk’s track record of overhyped vehicles with subpar build quality? For example a large part of a cybertruck being made of plastic, or that the doors can lock themselves due to a technical error? Also keep in mind the previous pre orders for other vehicles which took years to fulfill for some of them
I mean if the roadster actually does have SpaceX designed side boosters it would be insane
Didn't you hear? The Roadster is going to have gas jets to help it turn and it's going to float above the road!!
2 weeks…
Oh boy! Another demo! Tesla’s primary export.
Ooh I can't wait to see the rebrand of the Model S, it's gonna be like every "new" Disney movie coming out!
my bad, you got it better **than** I did
Okay but what about the timelines of: - solar city (effectively abandoned) - hyperloop (abandoned) - cybertruck (original vision abandoned) - the boring company Tesla tunnels (abandoned) - starship (in its current iteration cannot lift any weight to orbit and still can't fly, expect regression to N1 or abandoned) - mars by extension (reliant upon starship which is in a real bad place atm) - vision only true FSD (still has not been proven to hold it's own against mixed sensor suites in any significant way. No, supervised robotaxi doesn't count)
I wonder if history books will always be sure to point out musks successes were sometimes delivered single digit years late. "While the first human plant implant chip to control a computer with a mind was impressive and gave hope to millions of paraplegic, it was 3 years later that guessed." I've taken note of how many history books say Guttenbergs dad was wealthy.
Ty Mr Elon I’ll go ahead and buy puts
I know. But He said starting from $39.900 and up to 500miles (and of course you wouldn't get both at same time). But my dude, he didn't deliver on either of those two things. I can't configure a CT cheaper than $70k (and to be faire maybe I'm doing something wrong). That is waaaaay off from what he promised. And forget about the range, the best you can get is 350miles. That's again waaaaay off. So I'm honestly struggling to understand why tou are defending him here.
I'm just saying, if you want to complain about the average range you can't complain about missing the $40k price as if it were the same vehicle. The vehicle is already disappointing enough, why soil your argument with a lie?
It’s a joke
Can you explain the joke? This is the Tesla sub and OP is talking about the deposits
The king of demos.
He’s saying the demo is coming and we’re accepting deposits. It’s hype to get people’s money. The roadster did this in 2017 lol
Thank you! I didn’t see it as a joke, more of hype for hype’s sake, which is why I asked the question. I appreciate your time.
How would this be shocking? I would already trust my 2024 Model Y to do this. How the hell are people so misinformed about the state of FSD.
My guess, Optimus getting out and back in to drive away from an autonomous car. That would be cool and possible with where the tech is
This is an absolute nothing of a statement. Now I'm off to lunch for the most epic taco ever by the end of the hour.
Probably because Elon is a fucking fraud.
"two weeks"
Who cares.
Accountability isn’t about freezing in time and pretending tech doesn’t evolve. They *are* honoring the promise, just not in the pedantic, frozen-frame way you're insisting on. Free HW4 swaps sound a lot like taking responsibility, not dodging it.
Timelines on cutting edge tech should always be taken with a grain of salt, and Elon's should be particularly considered critically. I would have thought that is obvious.
When will these free HW4 swaps for HW2-3 cars happen? At what time would you consider that a failed promise if it hasn’t occurred?
\*Sigh\* The Gish Gallop is alive and well. Fine. **SolarCity:** Merged into Tesla Energy, which is still very much alive: Powerwall, Megapack, Solar Roof. “Abandoned” is just false. **Hyperloop:** An open concept and not a Musk project. Never central to Tesla or SpaceX. **Cybertruck:** Delayed and modified, yes, like *every* ambitious product, but definitely not abandoned. It’s shipping now. **Boring Company tunnels:** Still active, including Vegas Loop expansion. **Starship:** Still in development, and actually flying. Big rockets take time. Saturn V took over a decade; N1 never worked. So comparing to N1 is… an odd choice. Let’s maybe wait for a few more launches before calling it dead. **Mars:** Relies on Starship, which is very much in progress. So this is a nested “not yet” dressed up as doom. **Vision-only FSD:** Not solved, sure, but it’s improving, and Tesla’s clearly still betting on it. “Not proven *yet*” is not the same as “never will.” Also: supervised robotaxis *absolutely* count as part of the progression. Kinda silly to say they don't, really.
Has it already been 8 years 🤯
Nah big boy SUV like a suburban
LOL actually naming the Vegas loop expansion as anything but digging a completely pointless tunnel for no reason at all basically Invalidates the rest of your comment. But I'll bite for now. To call the original cybertruck vision vs it's actual implementation as change of an ambitious product and not obvious vaporware, alongside Elon constant track ofclearly overhyping and under delivering is showing the immense wool over your eyes. To shoot the windows and tell me how bulletproof it is. Oh and come float it across this river in wade mode. Solar city was sued by class action and settled and 2023 over the tiles. Their install targets are mere fractions of what they intended and the panels themselves are difficult, complex, and expensive. They shifted to batteries and normal panels, hence the original vision of the solar roof is abandoned. Oh so we're just gonna pretend he didn't spearhead hyperloop for quite awhile, calling it "easy" and revolutionizing travel when it was really just a way to smother the California HSR project so he could sell more Teslas? That it was open sources this WHOLE time and he had little to do to with it? Ok buddy. Flying into sub orbit and exploding is not really flying. I hope they can actually achieve starship cause it's the only one of Elon vaporware I still somewhat believe in. But given their payloads have been between 8-16 tons for the last couple flights hints that the raptor engines aren't capable of as much lift as Elon claims (wow color me surprised). "Not yet" have you been actually thought of the true implications and logistics of a mars colony? High solar radiation, extreme temps, transfer windows every 26 months, and transferring those materials back to earth (cause realistically that's what it would be a mining colony, nothing else makes any lick of sense outside extremely limited planetary science expansion). No housing has been made, no way to even assemble anything. I suggest you go play KSP to see how absurd the idea of an immediate near future mars colony even is. And that'll only show you orbital logistics, not even survival. Inb4 the magic conga line of starships carrying fuel and supplies constantly between earth and Mars lmfao. And finally, how long does not yet have to go on for before it can be called a failure? I'll still give them a shred of benefit of they can actually pull their head out their ass and move to mixed sensor suites. the robotaxi has shown they don't have some sort of magical in-house FSD that's leagues better than what's on the roads currently, they have to extensively map the area still and heavily geofence, so actually, the initial pitch of true FSD and robotaxis in the vein of "flick a switch and 300 million Teslas become autonomous" is just utter BS. Like most of elons projects, if it does come to fruition it'll be gimped to high hell or be a mere shadow of its original pitch. Sure I guess I can concede that heavily changing the scope of your projects (downward mind you, never upward) every single time then releasing it way way later than hyped up, maybe might not count as full abandonment, but it falls *heavily* into vaporware. I hope with all my heart starship doesn't turn out to be also vaporware, but that too is vaporizing with each IFT.
I bet it’s a flying roadster as was promised years ago
"By end of year" -- Which year is the question?
Another bs post from Elon
Rain sensing wipers
This absurd comment now has be wondering what level of acceleration one would actually need to achieve such a feat? 🤔
So end of decade, right?
Lipstick 💄 on a pig.
Wait 2 weeks to bending the curve ????!!!
Yeah, built the hell out of my Model 3. But I must be sorely mistake, because Tesla is not a car company, it's a marketing company. We are both mistaken. Do not trust your experience.
That's funny cause in the first game if you clicked on nothing he would say" But where is it"
“From earth to mars in one charge”
Cyber tyres with lithium batteries in the sidewalls
They fixed the intermittent wipers on the model Y
Robot Frunk Monkey??
Earnings are next week. Probably preparing for bad results.
A wild guesstimate, I would say 2.0-3.0G. With the assumption that you’re butt naked, rock hard, fully lubed, and your penis is positioned horizontally in line with the direction of acceleration, so the foreskin’s inertia can overcome skin tension and glide backward purely from the G-force
Comments like these are what I love about reddit.
Asked and answered: when FSD (not Beta) is released and if HW3 is not enough (which seems likely, as they have decided to concentrate training on HW4). This is not the first time Tesla has done something like this, although it might be the first time you have heard of it.
You got a lot of heat in there, but not all that much light. **Vegas Loop:** You calling it “pointless” doesn’t erase the fact that it *exists*, is expanding, and people use it. You don’t have to like it, but it’s functioning. That alone disproves “abandoned.” **Cybertruck:** Changed specs, yes. Every carmaker does that. It’s still pushing boundaries: 48V architecture, steer-by-wire, steel exoskeleton. Not vaporware, just real and late (although it probably grinds your gears that you cannot claim it does not exist). **Solar Roof:** Settlement =/= abandonment. The product still exists. It's just been scaled back, like most overly ambitious first-gen hardware. Not uncommon. Not “abandoned.” **Hyperloop:** He open-sourced it, third parties picked it up, and he moved on. That’s not “failure”; that’s just not turning an idea into a business. **Starship:** Flying and gathering data. That’s how rocket development works. You want Falcon Heavy-type results before the prototype phase is even done. N1 *never* flew. Starship has flown *multiple times*. See the difference? I know you do. But I wonder if you can admit to yourself. **Mars:** Sure, colonizing Mars is wildly ambitious and decades away. But calling the *goal* vaporware before the rocket’s even reached orbit is premature at best. **FSD:** You’re shifting the goalposts. If Tesla had switched to LiDAR, you’d be saying “see, they abandoned vision.” Instead, they doubled down and are making progress. You call temporary geofencing “proof it failed”, but if they had not done it, you would be screaming about they did not take an iterative safety measure. The bar seems to move with your mood. You can argue scope changes and delays, and that’s at least a logically coherent standpoint. But calling *everything* vaporware or abandoned because it didn’t hit V1 fantasy specs on day one? That’s silly. Also, just to save my sanity, if you are going to spam an answer, could you at least organize it logically so I can follow it without playing mental-Sudoku? Thanks.
It is a dark grey color for the model 3.
Who could still possibly believe him at this point?
Sure Grandpa, it will be epic.
Who cares about *yet another* demo?
So there will be no demo at the end of the year?
He pulled it out of his ass
I mean, since We Robot we do have robotaxis in Austin so it's not like Tesla doesn't do anything
A super tech forward minivan with 600 miles of range that is affordable. They will sell millions of them.
You guys know when it will come over the air? I’ve been patiently waiting.
More promises, promises of a cool demo. After the cyber truck failure, after years of waiting for self driving
Elon's new design: just a German Panzer rolls out.
ELON MUSK STFU AS SOON 🔜 AS HE GOT A GOVERNMENT CONTRACT
Thanks for your support
Cyber stuck
Here you go: [https://www.wired.com/2015/04/delphi-autonomous-car-cross-country/](https://www.wired.com/2015/04/delphi-autonomous-car-cross-country/) It's also worth noting that that was the first "modern" car to accomplish an autonomous cross-country trip. The *actual* first cross-country trip was completed in 1995 by a research team out of Carnegey Mellon. You can read more about that here: [https://arc.net/l/quote/fkcfqpbn](https://arc.net/l/quote/fkcfqpbn)
My ass holds multitudes, but so does Google. I went ahead and pulled some references for you and the commenter above. You must realize that a highway-only trip monitored by a human does not invalidate the excitement of what’s being done today
"two weeks" turned into 8+ years. all the people that put down $50,000 to order. Elon the con man in plain site.
Lol so what? Anyone who believes a single word from that man, especially product announcements, is a damn fool.
Model y performance
FSD
Let's see if they can execute the rollout better than the CT. They set the bar pretty low on that one.
> https://www.wired.com/2015/04/delphi-autonomous-car-cross-country/ > The car did 99 percent of the driving on its own, yielding to the carbon-based life form behind the wheel only when it was time to leave the highway and hit city streets. No way > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_self-driving_cars#:~:text=In%201995%2C%20Carnegie,%5Bcitation%20needed%5D > of which 98.2% was autonomously controlled, dubbed "No Hands Across America".[48] This car, however, was semi-autonomous by nature: it used neural networks to control the steering wheel, but throttle and brakes were human-controlled, chiefly for safety reasons. No way So, to be clear, you are hoping that Elon is not excited about a demo where a person uses FSD to drive 99% of the way across the country, only taking over to drive *everywhere off the highway*. Was that the meaning of the first sentence you posted? How does it feel, to be granted an intelligence and form equal to the gods, and then to waste it as you do?
\*narrator\* "It in fact did not."
Just said something that probably won’t happen. - Please, just believe me. - Again.
I feel like Elons credibility is hurting. Cybertruck politics
Our first road trip and this is a thing. +40% over the speed limit is recommended? I have to reset the speed after ever speed limit change, which sometimes has happened multiple times within minutes. It's been my only gripe after our 3000 mile road trip that's ending soon. Changed it to +10%. Much happier.
roadster was unveiled years ago. This is going to be another man in a robot suit.
Meh
Why do you lie about that story?
Well the S, X, 3, Y, Semi are pretty awesome!
I sat in one, I liked it.
like The S, 3, X, Y ?
Sounds like I sycophant response. Yes, Teslas are nice cars but still can’t believe half the things that come out of Elons mouth.
Never believe anything he says. Always expect it to fail to meet expectations (and his notorious hyperbole)
Trying anything to counteract an upcoming earnings disaster.
I far prefer hearing Tesla's intentions and aspirations over the bland nothing of other manufacturers.
