That light bar looks so cheap in real life. The old front was miles better.

Hard disagree... the old front looked stretched and bloated, this new face fits the body much better IMO. Significantly better to look at in person compared to the old.

My problem with it really just comes down to the light bar. It’s unattractive during the day and you’d expect it to look better at night when lit but somehow it looks even worse (tacky, cheap). Other light bars like Rivian’s look fine so I don’t hate all light bar implementations, just the new model Y.

The black paint ones are starting to grow on me. The numerous white ones not so much.

I really like the white, apparently so does everyone else... which makes me like it less 😂

I gave it quite some time to see if I came around on it like I did with the Rivian front ends, but I gotta agree. They should have put refresh Model 3 front end on it instead of the light bar. Or maybe just sold the light bar version in China where people apparently love them.

My bias is showing here, I own one I quite like it. I do wish it were a tad bright to stand out a bit more. It is not quite passe yet but sans logo it makes it easy to pick out the Tesla at night. I really like the tail lamp treatment. For me, and another redditor pointed this out, Tesla should reserve the light bar treatment for the Y, CT, and maybe even the X. Keep the sedans without a light bar to provide separation in intent. As I am driving a loaner 21 Y now I can really appreciate how much Tesla improved but also am a bit shocked how that 21 Y still feels better interior wise compared to some other offerings today.

I thought the new refresh in Model Y looked like a real improvement in early photos. Now that I see one almost every day I find that the cosmetic look is still really bad. I don't know if there were improvements to the drive train or not. Other than the Model S and the original roadster, Tesla has terrible exterior looks. They should fire the designer

I think ours looks actually major stand out in daytime and night. Especially the new head beams, they literally light up the entire sides on roads at night. Its my favorite.

Yeah in my neighborhood alone there’s 4 model Ys and 1 model X and ALL of them are white…
