Low-key want a cybercab that I can drive

Straight-Grand-4144 2024-12-03 04:01

In black. I hate the gold color.

Playful_Speech_1489 2024-12-03 08:58

i wonder if the cyber cab is anodized steel it would be cool.

I still can’t believe they put this and the cyber truck out before people have started to receive their sports car that they prepaid $100k for. What’s the holdup on that?

TeslaFRA 2024-12-03 12:09

Cybercab #009 is in Bellevue (Seattle) in the large shopping mall also on display. Next to Nordstrom (ground floor), if you are on the other side of the U.S., just below the Apple Store. Great looks :)

Hockeygoalie35 2024-12-03 16:06

Just saying, steel can’t be anodized, it would have to be aluminum or another non-ferrous metal.

iceynyo 2024-12-03 17:13

Camry owners will love it though

iceynyo 2024-12-03 17:13

Battery density

Tesla has as many haters as it has fans. Even its own sub lol

skippyjifluvr 2024-12-03 18:34

If they make it then they have to give about 100 cats away for free. I’m surprised there hasn’t been a lawsuit yet.

skippyjifluvr 2024-12-03 18:35

Some of us have been fans for so long it’s hard to still be a fan with all the lies.

SnooPeppers3755 2024-12-03 18:36

Going to the Big Apple in a few weeks, wish I could take a Cybercab to this Tesla Center

swaaaggy_b 2024-12-03 19:00

What lies? It’s a multi billion dollar company. I’m sure they know what they are doing. Everyone on this sub seems to be some sort of secret CEO

HorizonGaming 2024-12-03 20:49

Guys can it be my turn to post the San Jose cybercab tomorrow

YagerD 2024-12-04 02:33

It's called opinions. Someone that loves tesla can still not like something like the cyber cab. Doesn't make them a hater.

skippyjifluvr 2024-12-04 03:35

These are a minority of the claims that have been made by official spokespeople. There are many more. • 2015 FSD Prediction: Anticipated “complete autonomy” by 2018. • 2016 FSD Expectation: Tesla aimed to demonstrate full autonomy by the end of 2017. • 2016 Video: Tesla [released a video](https://youtu.be/VG68SKoG7vE) demonstrating Autopilot driving for nearly ten minutes with no disengagements. It was later revealed this video had been cherry-picked out of dozens of attempts. • 2019 FSD Claim: Projected that Tesla vehicles would achieve SAE Level 5 autonomy by the end of 2021. • Cybertruck Launch Delays: The Cybertruck was introduced in 2019 with an expected production start in late 2021. • Subsequent Cybertruck Delays: Production was postponed multiple times, with initial deliveries commencing in late 2023. Roadster Postponements: Tesla unveiled the second-generation Roadster in 2017, targeting a 2020 release. The release has been delayed several times, with production now expected to begin in 2025. • One Million Robotaxis by 2020: In 2019, Tesla predicted over a million Tesla robotaxis on the road by 2020. • Tesla employees remotely controlled the robots during the “We, Robot” event but people were left to assume the robots were autonomous. • In 2014, Tesla claimed they were working on an autonomous charging “snake”. I welcome others to add to this list.

You can't say no to a car that makes money on its own

ronnydripp 2024-12-04 12:37

What location is this?

According-Car1598 2024-12-05 01:27

A lot of these are delays with FSD / automation- I wouldn’t call it lies, rather technology taking longer than expected to catch up. Then, there are production delays - again, not lies. We are reasonably familiar with Elon’s timeline commitments now !!!

RLM41753 2024-12-06 15:38

Product Development (especially new technology) is NOT POSSIBLE to a time-line. Just found your blessing if you even get there. Building a house is EASY to do it to a time-line. TESLA is bleeding edge technology. If you are a stockholder … just sit back and ENJOY the RIDE !!!

skippyjifluvr 2024-12-07 02:38

You want to know what the most valuable comment in the world does? The one worth three times as much as Tesla? They develop their products quietly and announce them when they’re ready. They start selling them weeks after the announcement, not half a decade.

sincere421 2024-12-07 03:20

Where is this Tesla center you speak of midtown?

OneLastingLove 2024-12-07 13:40

I feel if you are buying Tesla products, may be best time would be next year, so you have AI5 compatible hardware in your car!

feinburgrl 2024-12-08 11:57

Please don't ask stupid question!

ronnydripp 2024-12-08 11:58

How is that a stupid question??!?

feinburgrl 2024-12-08 21:32

It's in the headline.

tbrudy 2024-12-13 21:14

Those doors are impractical. Imagine a rainy/snowy day waiting for them to fully open in order to get in. Also I hope they're tested in the wind.

ronnydripp 2024-12-15 22:51

Yeah there’s multiple Tesla locations in NY. I asked for the specific location. 😑

GENDERFLUIDRAHHH 2025-01-02 21:36

And aluminum and cyber named things don’t have a good history.

ir666 2025-01-27 01:17

There’s only one actually in NYC, in the meat packing district

ir666 2025-01-27 01:17

What do you mean? I literally took the photo 😂

ronnydripp 2025-01-27 01:21

If you’re talking about just Manhattan then yeah but NYC is all 5 boroughs there’s Multiple locations.
