There's also one in germany for showroom purposes. But they can't drive it on public roads.

BuddyLove4Life 2026-03-09 10:45

I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!

Sharpy9471 2026-03-09 10:47

Same here, it's not road legal! 😂

Sharpy9471 2026-03-09 10:48

It does look quite mean!

angloswiss 2026-03-09 11:08

There is a company in Basel, Switzerland that have at least two Cybertrucks and are trying to adapt them to conform with european rules. I have been past their place a few times when they had the workshop doors open. I really hope they do not succeed in this endeavor... [https://teslab.ch](https://teslab.ch)

Firetuna2108 2026-03-09 11:53

It’s so nice to drive, it’s everything wrong with trucks fixed.

RetroGaming4 2026-03-09 12:06

Why is it deemed ‘unsafe’ by the socialist governments? I don’t get it.

Capital-Control308 2026-03-09 12:23

Because they did not follow safety rules in designing it. There are numerous things that are not in code. They flat out did not even try to

BootFlop 2026-03-09 12:50

For starters pedestrian safety during front impact. US measures this but there’s no requirements

RetroGaming4 2026-03-09 13:09

You have officially drank the socialist kool aid 😂

icy1007 2026-03-09 13:10

It can still be driven on the road. I’ve seen the UK give permits.

icy1007 2026-03-09 13:11

Yes they did. CT is very safe.

icy1007 2026-03-09 13:12

And CT does excellent in the frontal pedestrian impact category.

dishwashersafe 2026-03-09 13:16

Because those "socialist governments" have this radical idea that the safety of people walking and biking on the roads matters too.

BootFlop 2026-03-09 13:35

Uuuh, because there’s no requirement. Making “excellent” meaningless. edit: Oops, I was wrong. Tesla didn’t even bother running the CT against the optional test. Which makes your post even sillier. 😜

Capital-Control308 2026-03-09 13:40

How so?

Capital-Control308 2026-03-09 13:41

Then buy one and drive it around England.

AgeMysterious123 2026-03-09 13:54

With as terribly as they’re made, even if they’re successful it won’t last very long.

dissectd 2026-03-09 14:03

Such as weight? nope Distance on a single tank/charge? Nope Towing capacity? Nope Wheel articulation? Nope Built to drive in all weather and temperature conditions? Nope Possibly a bigger douche-mobile than a lifted 2500? Sure. There is nothing “wrong” with a truck that this inherently resolves.

dissectd 2026-03-09 14:04

If they did follow safety regs, you would be able to register the truck 🤦‍♂️

dissectd 2026-03-09 14:04

Keep using a word you don’t understand. It only makes you look worse lmfao

outdoorsnstuff 2026-03-09 14:11

Not accurate in my opinion, being a long term truck owner. I sold mine and got a Sierra EV AT4 Max range. Significantly better in all aspects with the exception of software.

Firetuna2108 2026-03-09 14:12

Was more talking about safety, 4 wheel steering and low running costs. Can’t tow super far but can tow a lot, is arguably a much better towing experience, obviously not a long range.

RetroGaming4 2026-03-09 14:25

😂😂😂. Go back to eating your doughnuts

dissectd 2026-03-09 14:31

Oh no a snowflake. Colour me shocked!! LOL

dissectd 2026-03-09 14:35

He didn’t answer you but he did respond to my comment which only solidifies the fact that u/RetroGaming4 doesn’t understand what actual socialism is. Dude is probably consuming ivermectin as we speak!

solarsystemoccupant 2026-03-09 14:37

Matters more.

The sierra ev also has 4 wheel steering, and is much more intuitive than how the cybertruck does it from my experience. Plus I can actually drive this one offroad. Getting to one of my properties when I had the cybertruck was absolutely terrible and would slip and slide everywhere.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:03

I swear every month there’s a new post on this sub claiming they’re not road legal in Europe. There are literally hundreds examples of them driving around on YouTube as several people have successfully imported them.

According-Car1598 2026-03-09 15:04

If any big truck hits a pedestrian from its front, it’s not going to be a pleasant experience !!

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:05

Keep soaking up every clickbait headline you’ve read. Do you know the Taycan has had 9x as many physical recalls as the Cybertruck? Wasn’t in your Reddit feed so I bet you probably think it’s amazing German engineering.

According-Car1598 2026-03-09 15:05

Not many living in socialist countries can afford a cybertruck anyway !!

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:06

Gonna skip over the best feature, steer by wire. Sounds like you weren’t in the right mode on the CT when off roading.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:09

Have you ever seen a Cybertruck and an F150 parked side by side? Trucks are hilariously tall these days, unless you’re 8ft tall you’re not side loading into the F150.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:10

People have already done it in the UK. Plenty of examples on YouTube.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:11

You didn’t see the video of the guy who went crazy and drove over his wife did you?

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:11

Guess you didn’t see the video of the guy driving over his wife.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:12

Apparently according to your clickbait Reddit feed.

Capital-Control308 2026-03-09 15:43

It is intellectual laziness. Much easier that having an original thought

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 15:45

You haven’t seen it because it wasn’t in your clickbait Reddit feed. Believe it or not, you can go on YouTube and search for anything you want.

TinkerMelle 2026-03-09 15:45

There are several cybertrucks in my area. There are also several Ford Lightnings. I haven't seen a cybertruck being used as a work truck unless you count the real estate agents and such that put their info on the side so they can use it as a tax write off or whatever. I have seen Lightnings that have truck racks to haul ladders and tools, and a couple that haul equipment trailers on a regular basis that are actually going to jobsites to do work.

SirLlama123 2026-03-09 15:46

oh god it’s infecting the uk too😭

Separate-Primary2949 2026-03-09 15:49

Be cool to get them legally on the roads here! Not as big as you think would be fine driving uk roads. Saw so so many in Florida last month

BootFlop 2026-03-09 15:50

😳

Don't worry. The UK has a vaccine. They can be exposed to it, but it can't infect them. The Americans don't believe in prevention.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 16:04

If only there were 4,000 articles about a major space company replacing their entire work truck fleet with Cybertrucks, guess we’ll never know

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 16:06

Anecdotal evidence. Again plenty of examples on YouTube. SpaceX literally bought a thousand of them for their work truck fleet.

I thought it was just the UK that doesn’t allow it, are they not road legal in Europe?

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 16:53

https://streamable.com/3zt9xx

icy1007 2026-03-09 17:16

It is safe for pedestrians as well…

icy1007 2026-03-09 17:19

Headlights are fine in snow.

icy1007 2026-03-09 17:20

Quite a few people are driving Cybertrucks around the UK already.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 17:34

Believe it or not but flooring 800hp with a shit ton of torque in the wrong mode and on the wrong tires isn’t going to work out well for any vehicle. Almost as if Reddit spent tier entire existence last year desperately trying to trash the Cybertruck any chance they got. Do you need me to show you my own Cybertruck working flawlessly up a mountain in the snow? Believe it or not, but literally every vehicle accumulates snow, normal people brush it off before they drive. Every vehicle in the 90s had similar headlight designs, magically wasn’t a problem then.

RetroGaming4 2026-03-09 17:39

I bet you have blue hair and a nose ring,

Takhar7 2026-03-09 18:07

Not allowed on the road though. The UK, like most of Europe, doesn't allow FSD either is my understanding?

Kexxa420 2026-03-09 19:23

Please share this data.

AdCareless1761 2026-03-09 19:57

https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/porsche/taycan/2023/reliability/ 11 recalls just for the 2023 year. 4 or 5 for the 2024 model.

Kexxa420 2026-03-09 19:59

Oh I know the Taycan has had recalls. All cars do. I am talking about the 9x more claim.

AdCareless1761 2026-03-09 20:00

lol. The cybertruck is excellent off-road. You definitely didn’t have the right tires. Saying a truck with 8-10 inches ground clearance off-road better than a truck with 17+………. ![gif](giphy|fb5lozVxhBwVFFByW8)

AdCareless1761 2026-03-09 20:02

The only two physical recalls I can think of on the cybertruck is the cantrail and the accelerator pedal. So maybe not 9x more as he claims

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 20:21

There’s been 27 physical recalls for the Taycan and 3 for the Cybertruck, 2 of which were caught in very early production. The only major one that affected most vehicles was the cantrail one. Please do some research what a typical ownership experience has been for Taycan owners. Typical experience was the vehicle sitting at the dealer for 1-3 months waiting on parts, while they give you a base Macan worth half the price as a loaner to drive around in.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 20:22

The Taycan has had 27 physical recalls

-eccentric- 2026-03-09 20:58

Don't forget that europe is not comparable to the US. Europe consists of a ton of countries with their own rules, while the US is a bunch of states. It's fully impossible to get a cybertruck road legal in germany for example. Some (i think) czech guy managed to get one road legal as a semi truck. In germany there's no loophole to get road allowance.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 21:30

Can’t register it in Germany but you can in other countries and drive it in Germany, that is the loophole. There are many Cybertrucks already imported to Europe, and the UK, for years now.

-eccentric- 2026-03-09 21:45

Not really an option for most people to constantly move between two countries.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 21:48

I’ve had 4 Teslas and the Cybertruck is by far the best one. Didn’t say anything about Elon or his balls. My CT has significantly better build quality than my 2019 Model 3 did too.

Firetuna2108 2026-03-09 21:48

Not saying it’s a work horse don’t get me wrong. But is still impressive.

Firetuna2108 2026-03-09 21:49

I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing

AgeMysterious123 2026-03-09 21:49

Didn’t ask.

AgeMysterious123 2026-03-09 21:49

He can’t.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 21:50

Where did you come up with the terrible build quality comment then? You know literally every other Tesla model has had more recalls than the Cybertruck, right?

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 21:51

Googling is hard, there’s only 28 of them https://www.cars.com/research/porsche-taycan/recalls/

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 21:53

28 now https://www.cars.com/research/porsche-taycan/recalls/

dissectd 2026-03-09 23:35

anecdotal. there's plenty more vids of F-150's doing the same.

dissectd 2026-03-09 23:38

bought by the sister company that shares the same CEO who's trying to hide their losses to their shareholders. Right. Thats the same sitch when a salesman buys the cars from their dealership to meet their sales quota, and tries to resell them to another dealership to make their money back.

FrostyFire 2026-03-09 23:54

Well no shit, they've sold about 40 million of them.

FrostyFire 2026-03-10 00:07

Only on reddit will you see some genius surprised that a company chooses to use products and services from related companies. Next you'll tell me that Amazon is buying Rivian vans.

RetroGaming4 2026-03-10 00:47

Is your hair blue? 😂

mykalh78 2026-03-10 01:52

I recall Yanni from Yannimize on YouTube got one from Albania and added items onto the truck to make it road legal in the UK.

Dizzy-Community-4970 2026-03-10 03:15

Just because someone posts a video to Youtube, doesn't make it legal. Offically, the UK classifies the Cybertruck as a commercial vehicle, becasue of it's weight. The EU, will allow you to import it. But, you can't drive it on public roads. As it does not meet EU safety standards. There is a difference between impoting it. And legally using it for its' intended purpose.

FrostyFire 2026-03-10 03:44

Again, there are many Cybertrucks in Europe legally driving on the road. There’s also many clickbait articles that have lead people to believe things are happening when in reality they didn’t. Prime example: https://youtu.be/FQ6A1Gn0AwI

JacobMaxx 2026-03-10 11:14

I apologize.

JukeRedlin 2026-03-10 13:05

The us military wont even ship these for active duty to Euro bases. They'll let you have it on base if you pay but they make you sign a bunch of release forms saying you understand it cant be insured.

FrostyFire 2026-03-10 15:02

You forgot to mention that this specifically happened in GERMANY. Europe has many countries.
