There's also one in germany for showroom purposes. But they can't drive it on public roads.
I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
Same here, it's not road legal! š
It does look quite mean!
There is a company in Basel, Switzerland that have at least two Cybertrucks and are trying to adapt them to conform with european rules. I have been past their place a few times when they had the workshop doors open. I really hope they do not succeed in this endeavor... [https://teslab.ch](https://teslab.ch)
Itās so nice to drive, itās everything wrong with trucks fixed.
Why is it deemed āunsafeā by the socialist governments? I donāt get it.
Because they did not follow safety rules in designing it. There are numerous things that are not in code. They flat out did not even try to
For starters pedestrian safety during front impact. US measures this but thereās no requirements
You have officially drank the socialist kool aid š
It can still be driven on the road. Iāve seen the UK give permits.
Yes they did. CT is very safe.
And CT does excellent in the frontal pedestrian impact category.
Because those "socialist governments" have this radical idea that the safety of people walking and biking on the roads matters too.
Uuuh, because thereās no requirement. Making āexcellentā meaningless. edit: Oops, I was wrong. Tesla didnāt even bother running the CT against the optional test. Which makes your post even sillier. š
How so?
Then buy one and drive it around England.
With as terribly as theyāre made, even if theyāre successful it wonāt last very long.
Such as weight? nope Distance on a single tank/charge? Nope Towing capacity? Nope Wheel articulation? Nope Built to drive in all weather and temperature conditions? Nope Possibly a bigger douche-mobile than a lifted 2500? Sure. There is nothing āwrongā with a truck that this inherently resolves.
If they did follow safety regs, you would be able to register the truck š¤¦āāļø
Keep using a word you donāt understand. It only makes you look worse lmfao
Not accurate in my opinion, being a long term truck owner. I sold mine and got a Sierra EV AT4 Max range. Significantly better in all aspects with the exception of software.
Was more talking about safety, 4 wheel steering and low running costs. Canāt tow super far but can tow a lot, is arguably a much better towing experience, obviously not a long range.
ššš. Go back to eating your doughnuts
Oh no a snowflake. Colour me shocked!! LOL
He didnāt answer you but he did respond to my comment which only solidifies the fact that u/RetroGaming4 doesnāt understand what actual socialism is. Dude is probably consuming ivermectin as we speak!
Matters more.

Did you not like 4 wheel steering?

The sierra ev also has 4 wheel steering, and is much more intuitive than how the cybertruck does it from my experience. Plus I can actually drive this one offroad. Getting to one of my properties when I had the cybertruck was absolutely terrible and would slip and slide everywhere.
I swear every month thereās a new post on this sub claiming theyāre not road legal in Europe. There are literally hundreds examples of them driving around on YouTube as several people have successfully imported them.
If any big truck hits a pedestrian from its front, itās not going to be a pleasant experience !!
Keep soaking up every clickbait headline youāve read. Do you know the Taycan has had 9x as many physical recalls as the Cybertruck? Wasnāt in your Reddit feed so I bet you probably think itās amazing German engineering.
Not many living in socialist countries can afford a cybertruck anyway !!
Gonna skip over the best feature, steer by wire. Sounds like you werenāt in the right mode on the CT when off roading.
Have you ever seen a Cybertruck and an F150 parked side by side? Trucks are hilariously tall these days, unless youāre 8ft tall youāre not side loading into the F150.
People have already done it in the UK. Plenty of examples on YouTube.
You didnāt see the video of the guy who went crazy and drove over his wife did you?
Guess you didnāt see the video of the guy driving over his wife.
Apparently according to your clickbait Reddit feed.

Plenty of videos of it, youāre just ignorant.

Good for them
It is intellectual laziness. Much easier that having an original thought
You havenāt seen it because it wasnāt in your clickbait Reddit feed. Believe it or not, you can go on YouTube and search for anything you want.
There are several cybertrucks in my area. There are also several Ford Lightnings. I haven't seen a cybertruck being used as a work truck unless you count the real estate agents and such that put their info on the side so they can use it as a tax write off or whatever. I have seen Lightnings that have truck racks to haul ladders and tools, and a couple that haul equipment trailers on a regular basis that are actually going to jobsites to do work.
oh god itās infecting the uk tooš
Be cool to get them legally on the roads here! Not as big as you think would be fine driving uk roads. Saw so so many in Florida last month

Don't worry. The UK has a vaccine. They can be exposed to it, but it can't infect them. The Americans don't believe in prevention.
If only there were 4,000 articles about a major space company replacing their entire work truck fleet with Cybertrucks, guess weāll never know
Anecdotal evidence. Again plenty of examples on YouTube. SpaceX literally bought a thousand of them for their work truck fleet.

I thought it was just the UK that doesnāt allow it, are they not road legal in Europe?
https://streamable.com/3zt9xx
It is safe for pedestrians as wellā¦
Headlights are fine in snow.

Quite a few people are driving Cybertrucks around the UK already.
Believe it or not but flooring 800hp with a shit ton of torque in the wrong mode and on the wrong tires isnāt going to work out well for any vehicle. Almost as if Reddit spent tier entire existence last year desperately trying to trash the Cybertruck any chance they got. Do you need me to show you my own Cybertruck working flawlessly up a mountain in the snow? Believe it or not, but literally every vehicle accumulates snow, normal people brush it off before they drive. Every vehicle in the 90s had similar headlight designs, magically wasnāt a problem then.
I bet you have blue hair and a nose ring,
Not allowed on the road though. The UK, like most of Europe, doesn't allow FSD either is my understanding?
Please share this data.
https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/porsche/taycan/2023/reliability/ 11 recalls just for the 2023 year. 4 or 5 for the 2024 model.
Oh I know the Taycan has had recalls. All cars do. I am talking about the 9x more claim.
lol. The cybertruck is excellent off-road. You definitely didnāt have the right tires. Saying a truck with 8-10 inches ground clearance off-road better than a truck with 17+ā¦ā¦ā¦.
The only two physical recalls I can think of on the cybertruck is the cantrail and the accelerator pedal. So maybe not 9x more as he claims
Thereās been 27 physical recalls for the Taycan and 3 for the Cybertruck, 2 of which were caught in very early production. The only major one that affected most vehicles was the cantrail one. Please do some research what a typical ownership experience has been for Taycan owners. Typical experience was the vehicle sitting at the dealer for 1-3 months waiting on parts, while they give you a base Macan worth half the price as a loaner to drive around in.
The Taycan has had 27 physical recalls
Don't forget that europe is not comparable to the US. Europe consists of a ton of countries with their own rules, while the US is a bunch of states. It's fully impossible to get a cybertruck road legal in germany for example. Some (i think) czech guy managed to get one road legal as a semi truck. In germany there's no loophole to get road allowance.
Canāt register it in Germany but you can in other countries and drive it in Germany, that is the loophole. There are many Cybertrucks already imported to Europe, and the UK, for years now.
Not really an option for most people to constantly move between two countries.

Iāve had 4 Teslas and the Cybertruck is by far the best one. Didnāt say anything about Elon or his balls. My CT has significantly better build quality than my 2019 Model 3 did too.
Not saying itās a work horse donāt get me wrong. But is still impressive.
I didnāt know that, thanks for sharing
Didnāt ask.
He canāt.
Where did you come up with the terrible build quality comment then? You know literally every other Tesla model has had more recalls than the Cybertruck, right?
Googling is hard, thereās only 28 of them https://www.cars.com/research/porsche-taycan/recalls/
28 now https://www.cars.com/research/porsche-taycan/recalls/
anecdotal. there's plenty more vids of F-150's doing the same.
bought by the sister company that shares the same CEO who's trying to hide their losses to their shareholders. Right. Thats the same sitch when a salesman buys the cars from their dealership to meet their sales quota, and tries to resell them to another dealership to make their money back.
Well no shit, they've sold about 40 million of them.
Only on reddit will you see some genius surprised that a company chooses to use products and services from related companies. Next you'll tell me that Amazon is buying Rivian vans.
Is your hair blue? š
I recall Yanni from Yannimize on YouTube got one from Albania and added items onto the truck to make it road legal in the UK.
Just because someone posts a video to Youtube, doesn't make it legal. Offically, the UK classifies the Cybertruck as a commercial vehicle, becasue of it's weight. The EU, will allow you to import it. But, you can't drive it on public roads. As it does not meet EU safety standards. There is a difference between impoting it. And legally using it for its' intended purpose.
Again, there are many Cybertrucks in Europe legally driving on the road. Thereās also many clickbait articles that have lead people to believe things are happening when in reality they didnāt. Prime example: https://youtu.be/FQ6A1Gn0AwI
I apologize.
The us military wont even ship these for active duty to Euro bases. They'll let you have it on base if you pay but they make you sign a bunch of release forms saying you understand it cant be insured.
You forgot to mention that this specifically happened in GERMANY. Europe has many countries.
