Sealion 6 owners. What do you like and dislike about the car. And how long have you had the car?
I'm getting the Premium Extended Range and I'm curious what your experiences are with the car. TIA

IIRC Sealion 6 there = Seal U here. Overall? 6 months. Loving it. Absolutely blown away by the value and utility. Some little oddities between it and the Audi and Volvo PHEVs I had before it. The petrol engine - when it kicks in during extended trips - can sound a bit weird. That’s ok because it’s designed to operate in a different way to other hybrids. The auto emergency braking can be over-sensitive but changed in settings. Long review [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/BYD/s/KEL9GgTlw9) after a long (albeit, European) roadtrip.
Had it 8 months, the soft suspension is probably the only thing, it wallows
What country are you in and do you have the 2024 model?
Yeah I agree with this. The suspension is the only thing I don’t like as well. The rest I’m very happy with.
Australia, sealion 6 essential 2025 its the updated model, brand new into country 20 march 2025, took delivery march 30. The economy is amazing, put 3 tanks in since march and recently moved into a house with solar, so costs nothing to run. I was spending $110 a week with old car
I see. I'm in Australia too. That means I'll be getting the same suspension. Does it get too wobbly that the passengers get motion sickness? Also, does the car understeer when turning? Lastly, do you find the floaty suspension highly concerning especially when you're turning?
sealion 6 = wish it had tunable EQ like the atto 3’s. the sound system in the sl6 is leaps and bounds better hardware wise but the atto 3 ends up sounding better because you can tune it
Sydney. 12 months, 15000 k, love it. Would consider going full electric next time . I went phev because I drive to Kingaroy area and Bathurst a bit and was worried about charging but seems a none issue atm. Yeah it’s soft suspension but they are built for comfort not rally driving , although I hate hitting speed bumps in them
The only complaint I’ve had from passengers is the impact of the acceleration on their privates ;)
That made me chuckle 😂
What does it feel like hitting a speed bump that you hate?
Bit of a bounce. It’s great with potholes and going over roundabout, but speed humps make it bounce a bit so you end up slowing down. After driving Subarus it’s like driving an Ugg boot, smooth but no road feed back.
1 year, 1st biggest problem the ADAS is really bad like really really BAD, 2ndly trying to brake in slow speed under 20 makes the car want to throw you out the windshield, the body roll is not good either but manageable
I’ve had mine for about 4 months at 7000kms. So far it’s been a great experience. I only have a few tiny nitpicks: 1. Can’t play / pause media from the volume rocker 2. Suspension is a bit soft and "boaty" 3. No spare tire gives me anxiety 4. The engine doing its own thing can be a bit disconcerting at times Other than that, It’s been great spending so little on fuel.
I wonder if it can put runflat tyre? It doesn't come with a spare tyre
