New cyber truck trim!

Will this push you over the edge to buy a less premium cyber truck?

Cheaper garbage

RayWould 2026-02-20 01:43

It honestly will probably just be the leftovers they can’t get rid of. Better to sell for 1/2 price than let them rust in the random parking lots they’re sitting in now.

Voidfang_Investments 2026-02-20 01:45

How’s the sound system?

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 01:45

Great question it doesn’t say!

Voidfang_Investments 2026-02-20 01:46

That’s super important haha

Expert-Prune-766 2026-02-20 01:46

7 speakers instead of 15

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 01:47

Very true haha I would hope just as good

D1TAC 2026-02-20 01:47

Perfect time! I'm going to get one in 2-3 months for sure.

turns2stone 2026-02-20 01:47

Ready for the downvotes... but the adaptive suspension and 15-speakers (vs. 7 on new DM AWD) are really significant and worth consideration of the extra $$. If you spend most of your time driving on broken city streets and cranking your favorite song, it's either something you look forward to, or something you 'tolerate'.

ShavedDesk 2026-02-20 01:47

7 speakers vs the standard 15 speakers

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 01:48

My wife and I are talking about it rn bc we literally just ordered a new Y for her but haven’t taken delivery of it yet or even have done the financing but with 0.99 it’s kinda hard to pass up I think

waerrington 2026-02-20 01:52

lol they’re not bringing existing Cybertrucks into the shop to rebuild the suspension and replace the seats. These are for new builds.

ReddittAppIsTerrible 2026-02-20 01:52

Whoa

bballlal 2026-02-20 01:53

They can probably be unlocked like they can in the M3

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-20 01:53

Much better deal than that RWD Cybertruck they had couple of months ago.

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 01:55

Great point I think I would wait to test drive one in person before pulling the trigger to see if what you are missing is something you’d miss in daily driving.

Dneubauer09 2026-02-20 01:56

I wonder though, will that air suspension break like all the others you see out there? If so, how easy and costly will it be to fix, or will people down the road end up swapping over to coil suspensions.

jaywoof94 2026-02-20 01:56

Yea I made that mistake with my first Tesla. Bought the MY RWD bc I had range anxiety and the first thing I noticed driving it after pickup was that the sound system was not as good as the AWD demo I test drove. Upgraded to an MYP 8 months later lmao. It matters.

matthew19 2026-02-20 01:56

All they have to do is adjust the exterior to look less insane and they’ll sell.

RayWould 2026-02-20 01:59

If they were smart they would.

-MullerLite- 2026-02-20 01:59

Lashing out because your life is miserable?

CovidScurred 2026-02-20 02:00

Hell yeah, I get angry just looking at that garbage. Then I look at my model Y and feel better.

Lapse_of_Judgement 2026-02-20 02:00

I remember, wasn’t this truck supposed to be 45k at some point or am I tripping?

Lapse_of_Judgement 2026-02-20 02:01

wasn’t this truck supposed to be 45k at some point or am I tripping?

Flaky_Guarantee5869 2026-02-20 02:01

Should've made it more square/rugged looking like the Lexus LX or G wagon

matthew19 2026-02-20 02:01

I know a few model Y owners who’d love to add cybertruck but refuse on looks alone.

Puzzleheaded-Race671 2026-02-20 02:01

This is a misconception lol. There aren’t tens of thousands of secret cybers sitting in lots. Tesla has purposefully since around mid 2025 made to order CTs to 1. Not have that sitting around problem and 2. Not crush the second hand market of CTs (hence why they’ve been holding firm in the 70-80s used)

Which-Return-607 2026-02-20 02:02

Seats and air suspension are not worth 20k. Great deal

Puzzleheaded-Race671 2026-02-20 02:02

I swear the CT gets wayyy over hated. Mfs are genuinely just miserable icl

krins12 2026-02-20 02:02

Really defending Tesla with your life

BridgeFourArmy 2026-02-20 02:02

Oh shoot now I’m thinking about it

markbraggs 2026-02-20 02:03

2019 pre covid and massive inflation

lotofry 2026-02-20 02:03

Pretty solid for the price. Is PowerShare v2h/v2v?

HamburglerParty 2026-02-20 02:03

20% cumulative inflation since 2019

AdditionalLead7265 2026-02-20 02:03

Looks like they also got rid of the Luxe package for CT. Sucks cause I wanted to buy a CT if it had the Luxe. Oh well guess I won't now.

BigChicken8666 2026-02-20 02:05

So what did they remove? Because I remember the "Standard" version of the 3 and Y was absolute garbage with the stuff they ripped out to shave the measly amount they took off the price.

PrcrsturbationNation 2026-02-20 02:05

https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ It was promised at 50K for the dual motor variant (Pre-inflation) which adjusts to $62,835.81 with a better range than promised. (325 Vs. 300)

Voidfang_Investments 2026-02-20 02:06

Darn that’s a deal breaker

Person_reddit 2026-02-20 02:06

No, that was the 2WD version. This is the mid-tier. Although I think it’s still more expensive than it was supposed to be.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 02:07

lol yeah sure - kinda like all the people mad about the Plaid S going away when they can’t afford it.

PrcrsturbationNation 2026-02-20 02:07

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0611/3981/2534/files/Tesla-cybertruck-price-dual-motor_480x480.jpg?v=1662360949

VanderCooks 2026-02-20 02:07

this is actually an insane deal

matthew19 2026-02-20 02:08

I wonder what they could do while keeping a low enough drag coefficient. The weight savings from steel wouldn’t make as much of a difference.

No_Catch3545 2026-02-20 02:08

We don't need affordable, we need something wirh actual usable range.

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:09

so they were able to get cybertruck 20k cheaper but model y standard got arguably more cuts and only 5k ?

AdditionalLead7265 2026-02-20 02:09

I never really cared about the S. I planned to use the CT for my liquidation business but might as well just keep the Cateye for the time being then.

SarcasticNotes 2026-02-20 02:09

There are no CT for sale near me

Choice-Ad6376 2026-02-20 02:10

Rivisn R1t without the funky lights and bigger bed

immortalalchemist 2026-02-20 02:11

![gif](giphy|t034VdOxXb75XdXzyz)

ExtensionKitchen4457 2026-02-20 02:11

Yes, you'd have to be insane

EmployeeNo4241 2026-02-20 02:12

They should have discontinued the truck instead of X.

DerCatzefragger 2026-02-20 02:12

Is the Cyber-Rivet standard equipment now? Or do you have to shell out for the Rear-View-Mirror-Doesn't-Fall-Off Package to get that?

Puzzleheaded-Race671 2026-02-20 02:13

Yep same

SpicyElixer 2026-02-20 02:13

They’re not secret. I can see them in the otherwise empty dirt lot in my city near the SC. You don’t keep 80-100k+ vehicles expected to sell in an empty dirt lot. I don’t see model Ys in that lot. They’re in the asphalt lot and look like they just got delivered.

SarcasticNotes 2026-02-20 02:14

I’m tempted by this. But 2026 Y and 2022 X both with FSD already

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-20 02:14

Air suspension, reduce speakers to 7 instead of 15 no more active noise cancellation, rear screen in the back, no more cooled seats or vegan leather seats only textile seats, power outlets in the cabin, towing is reduced to 7,500 pounds, payload is 2,006 pounds with 18 inch wheel.

NationalGolf1283 2026-02-20 02:16

Give me the 6th seat and ill buy it original msrp

Omega2307 2026-02-20 02:16

Might have to cancel my y performance order for this lol

DiputsDoof 2026-02-20 02:16

Can FSD be transferred to the cybertruck? If so, this might tip the scales for me. How’s car camping in a cybertruck though?

lavoid12 2026-02-20 02:19

I agree with you. I’m a new CT owner, and I really like the truck and tech. The range is not that great.

Mylifereboot 2026-02-20 02:19

Would not bother. Buy a lightly used fully loaded one for the same price.

FatAlfredCouchPotato 2026-02-20 02:19

Then it would prove Elon is wrong. He can't let that happen, obviously

-MullerLite- 2026-02-20 02:20

I'm risking my life?

Hohh20 2026-02-20 02:20

Im one of them. If they had a cybertruck that looked more normal and had the 4 wheel steering, air suspension, and other premium features, I would definitely go for it.

WindyNightmare 2026-02-20 02:20

Does it still look the same? No thanks.

CandyFromABaby91 2026-02-20 02:20

What’s missing?

SpicyElixer 2026-02-20 02:21

They shared a thought on a product in a discussion about said product. Not a big deal. You don’t need to get so upset and make personal attacks over it. Just hit the downvote button as hard as you can and pound your desk. You’re acting like someone attacked your family member.

Itsnotadrone 2026-02-20 02:21

Do it you won’t regret it I can’t drive the other models now this triangle done spoiled me

swb1192 2026-02-20 02:21

It's on the Tesla website.

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:21

this honestly feels like a good deal, tesla leather is garbage anyways, air suspension is expensive and a failure point (I do need to see what ride height it sits at), active noise cancellation is whatever, don’t have rear seat passengers, cooled seats whatever, towing whatever, payload whatever personally I need to see what the sound system is like, I can’t stand a bad sound system, also they stripped the rear taillight bar and the lights in the truck bed… all in all this may be the trim I get, you can always add the bigger wheels later for the look. 20k is a huge discount, especially keeping awd and 4.1 0-60 that’s basically 80% of the car

SpartanValley 2026-02-20 02:21

Make the exterior look like an R1T or a Tacoma, and I’d be on for one. Until then, no way in hell I’d consider it at any price.

FatAlfredCouchPotato 2026-02-20 02:22

And give the damn thing a paint and a better turning radius.

Itsnotadrone 2026-02-20 02:22

They sold most of there inventory to space x and Dubai

JustPath3874 2026-02-20 02:22

Can you transfer FSD to this still if trade it?

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:23

air suspension matters less on a million pound truck with huge tires, I agree on sound though can’t stand a bad sound system… 20k is a nice discount… with a solid trade in it takes a $1200 payment to around $700

CandyFromABaby91 2026-02-20 02:23

Those things cost $20k 🤔

waerrington 2026-02-20 02:23

The CT has way newer technology. The architecture/steer by wire/4 wheel steering is their future platform, they’re not cancelling it to save a 2018 platform.

JohnniNeutron 2026-02-20 02:24

My reservation for the cheapest cyber truck promised years ago is still in my app. There goes my $100 deposit. lol

Sublime-Chaos 2026-02-20 02:25

It would’ve looked cooler in that style if they had made it a boxy SUV like a Bronco or a Wrangler style than the truck style.

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-20 02:25

Agree with this.

dravack 2026-02-20 02:26

Would have been sicker if we’d still get the tax credit. Still tempted. I don’t care what anyone says I like the CT it’s bigger than I’d want but it’s unique which is what I appreciate I’m tired of all the cars looking the same.

gotapure 2026-02-20 02:28

Man, I wish my frunk was powered.

longboringstory 2026-02-20 02:28

What Tesla did you own where the leather was garbage?

passiveMelon1 2026-02-20 02:30

I'd rather have fabric seats over plastic anyways.

Mac-Tyson 2026-02-20 02:30

The AWD Model Y Trim they just introduced is $7K cheaper than the Premium Model Y Trim and still cheaper than the Premium RWD by $3K. Which makes more sense but some things like the Frunk they really didn’t need to cheap out on.

ssmith891 2026-02-20 02:30

All of them have garbage leather.

passiveMelon1 2026-02-20 02:30

I have a model y, I hate the plastic seats.

pkyang 2026-02-20 02:31

Years late but better than nothing I guess

Curtnorth 2026-02-20 02:32

A pretty good deal, lot of bang for the buck there.

turns2stone 2026-02-20 02:33

Truth, and I own a Model S. The CT is really next-gen, even for this new 'cheap' model.

Fine-Craft3393 2026-02-20 02:33

They’ll completely cannibalize all the other variant sales while not attracting enough new buyers and in a year from now it’ll be discontinued. Not a lot of margin in a $59k CT….

SF_E60M5 2026-02-20 02:34

Not bad if we didn’t already have our 26 MY might have jumped on this.

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:34

my partner drives model 3, I drive a porsche macan… i’ve tried to switch multiple times to model y performance but it feels like a cheap pool noodle. been in legacy and jupiter… its just cheap. I recently had an extended demo of cyber truck and loved it, if I were to buy one i’d find aftermarket options with more premium materials

WhoopDareIs 2026-02-20 02:34

Let me know when it stops looking like shit. That’s when I’ll be interested.

turns2stone 2026-02-20 02:34

I like the Model Y, but I saw no less than 20 'Juniper' Model Ys on my commute today. You get a CT to stand out just a bit.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 02:35

[deleted]

krins12 2026-02-20 02:35

That’s not what that means… and confirms that I’m not entertaining this conversation anymore😂

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:36

The price they originally said it could be bought for.

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:36

It’s more than just that.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 02:36

[deleted]

BaxBaxPop 2026-02-20 02:36

The turn radius is better than any other full size truck and not much worse than a Model Y.

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:36

Looks like that is all still included.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 02:36

[removed]

flyhigh217 2026-02-20 02:37

Forgot to mention no rear screen, no ventilated front seats, no rear heated seats, 7 speakers instead of 15, no active noise cancellation, and no locking bed cover. Great deal but quite a lot of changes

SighhhSandwich 2026-02-20 02:37

Define “tough as nails”

Recent_Anxiety_9123 2026-02-20 02:37

It would’ve been nice if they kept the rear screen and 14 speakers.

BaxBaxPop 2026-02-20 02:37

Pretty sure this is 4680, which adds a lot of savings.

Viridian95 2026-02-20 02:37

This is awesome! I'm in the process of leasing a now "premium" AWD model. I see how this new trim may interest some people who were on the fence like this model did for me, but I'll be sticking with my "premium" AWD

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:38

The bed is different, the interior is paired down, no rear screen, wheels are basic, rear lights are changed, less towing capability, less payload capability, no air suspension aka more basic coil suspension, and others.

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:39

They all have great leather.

Sensitive_One_425 2026-02-20 02:39

If it didn’t look like a giant piece of shit I’d consider it

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:39

Good thing they don’t come with “plastic” seats. 🙄

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 02:39

Then why comment on this post lol?

Sensitive_One_425 2026-02-20 02:40

Like camping in a coffin

Buggabones1 2026-02-20 02:40

And towing capacity goes from 11k to 7.5k pounds

Ampersand_Parade 2026-02-20 02:40

lol

Sensitive_One_425 2026-02-20 02:41

Because it doesn’t matter how cheap it gets it still looks like that

mcmaynn48 2026-02-20 02:41

7500 towing pounds.. truck gets more and more useless by the day

Clu_Rebooted 2026-02-20 02:43

They are still fugly as hell and everyone will make fun of you.

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:44

air suspension is always a minimum multi thousand repair, ask any old german car owner many people specifically avoid it

UnSCo 2026-02-20 02:44

I’d actually be interested in this if this truck wasn’t so contentious. I love my Model X but I really want V2L/V2H, plus towing and cargo capacity.

ksurf619 2026-02-20 02:45

60k is not affordable for most people lol

ssmith891 2026-02-20 02:45

They really don’t. Drive a car with real leather and you’ll understand why. I love my Model 3 but the seats are awful.

mdiddyshow 2026-02-20 02:46

Cyberbeast dropped to 100k and no more luxe package.

erwos 2026-02-20 02:48

No rear screen, oddly enough, is probably the worst of it for me. My kids love that stuff.

DeltaDP 2026-02-20 02:48

Need to keep the air suspension and cool seat. Driving in Dallas with pot holes and summer heat is brutal

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-20 02:48

Air suspension, reduce speakers to 7 instead of 15 no more active noise cancellation, rear screen in the back, no more cooled seats or vegan leather seats only textile seats, power outlets in the cabin, towing is reduced to 7,500 pounds, payload is 2,006 pounds with 18 inch wheel, rear tail lights are different, bed is different, you get the power outlets in the bed now.

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-20 02:49

Same I also own a CT in Houston too tons of potholes here.

transitionb 2026-02-20 02:49

Ain’t happenin

sleepingturtles 2026-02-20 02:49

Oh man if they offer any APR deals ever for this I will actually get one

transitionb 2026-02-20 02:50

Yeah my wife said that’s a deal breaker. I’d buy it in a second if it had the screen.

Devd5147 2026-02-20 02:51

Give them an ipad?

pgsz 2026-02-20 02:51

I’m one of them. Give me a normal looking truck or SUV and I’m in.

oasiscat 2026-02-20 02:53

And I ain't buying

icy1007 2026-02-20 02:55

I’ve driven plenty of cars with real leather, it’s not great. It takes a lot to keep it nice and will wear out before long. Tesla’s leather is long lasting and feels great. It’s incredibly durable as well.

AmbitiousFunction911 2026-02-20 02:55

Giant pickup. You: payload whatever. 😂

asdf4fdsa 2026-02-20 02:56

Still has all wheel steering!

AmbitiousFunction911 2026-02-20 02:57

Some of us actually don’t want to drive a car with real chemically treated cow hides as the seats.

Palbi 2026-02-20 02:57

Take a look at Rivian (Also, you'll get a 2nd hand maxed out quad-motor R1T for that price)

-MullerLite- 2026-02-20 02:58

Well to defend something with your life you would have to actually risk your life. If that isn't what you meant then perhaps you should have used different words.

ethiopian_kid 2026-02-20 02:58

i’m being realistic, 90% of truck buyers aren’t buying it to tow and haul… i’m using it 1). comfortable ride 2). light off roading/home improvement/trash haul runs my use case isn’t towing or hauling like cement

AmbitiousFunction911 2026-02-20 02:59

Future platform? Of what vehicles? I doubt we see any of that within the next 5 years in a 3 or a y. The way Elon is running things, the 3 and Y may not even exist in 5 years.

Palbi 2026-02-20 02:59

Garbage in my Model S (and it is not leather)

turns2stone 2026-02-20 02:59

Doubtful. They're not going to install $1K worth of speakers + amps just to leave them "unplugged".

turns2stone 2026-02-20 03:00

Can you link to confirm ?

bballlal 2026-02-20 03:00

That’s exactly what they did with the Model 3. https://www.tesery.com/blogs/tesla-accessories-information/unlocking-hidden-potential-a-deep-dive-into-the-tesla-model-3-audio-system

SourGummys 2026-02-20 03:00

Nobody seems to be mentioning that this new trim doesn’t have the full light bar in the back, which will be a visual distinguishing feature

Queasy-Bed545 2026-02-20 03:01

Tesla is REALLY bad at making entry level models. They are always made from the top of the line designs and cuts are made based on what’s affordable to cut rather than what people actually value.  The result is a mixed bag of some things being insanely good value for the price and other things being laughable. The  7 speaker system on a $60k vehicle is wild.

pimplyteen 2026-02-20 03:01

Just needs to not look like the cybertruck and I’ll get one

Ancient_Work4758 2026-02-20 03:03

Really closing in on that original 39k price!

TheGamerguy110 2026-02-20 03:04

The people who absolutely hate the cybertrucks appearance are honestly weird. It's an homage to wedge design and the 80s vision of the future. Do you have the same visceral and hate filled reaction to they Lamborghini Countach? Or do you just hate the cybertruck because you've been taught to?

lazulilizard 2026-02-20 03:06

I wonder why the cheaper trim has a lower toe rating when it still has two motors? 0-60 is also identical to the premium trim

voodoo_mama_juju1123 2026-02-20 03:06

Good catch didn’t even realize that

nique201 2026-02-20 03:07

So what's it missing the air suspension?

nique201 2026-02-20 03:08

Weird they removed the rear screen when the y and 3 have it

FatAlfredCouchPotato 2026-02-20 03:08

Then it must be the drivers. I've seen almost all of them struggle with making tighter turns.

Potential-Pain-2236 2026-02-20 03:08

No Autopilot is a deal breaker for me for any Tesla. I am not paying for FSD.

techadvisor23 2026-02-20 03:09

I agree. My Model S is way nicer with the air suspension than my old Model 3 and my Model Y

techadvisor23 2026-02-20 03:10

Every decent car comes with air suspension these days

vivaphx 2026-02-20 03:10

Does it still have to look like the Cyber Truck?

ExiledGirlVS 2026-02-20 03:11

Next year it will be $20,000.

htplex 2026-02-20 03:11

where is is cybersuv man

VanderCooks 2026-02-20 03:12

Gen 1 or 2?

Physical-Sherbet-478 2026-02-20 03:13

They shoulda had this and a RWD version of this same trim be released together

44RON24 2026-02-20 03:13

Tacoma? 😂

AdDangerous897 2026-02-20 03:13

Na I’m good I’m getting one of these https://preview.redd.it/6oxvhu17hkkg1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6f3934198df4c05b44c48016b8efb837f5c8bf3c

CovidScurred 2026-02-20 03:14

Yeah they’re very popular but I just wouldn’t do a CT. But, that’s just my opinion and doesn’t really matter to anyone else.

Disastrous_Panick 2026-02-20 03:14

I aint trippin

stopg1b 2026-02-20 03:18

Went to my local service centre the other week. Hadn't been in a while. This is a flagship one that was previously a Costco. They had only 2 CTs when last year it was full of them. Service guy told me the wait list is 6 weeks now. Which is not what the internet would have you believe. Like you said prices are firm on the used market. I was hoping to get one of those ones that dropped to a fraction of the value I keep getting told about

wamsankas 2026-02-20 03:18

Ventilated seats are worth 10k easily

Ok_Appeal_3050 2026-02-20 03:18

Too bad they jack up the interest rate, don’t save much unless your all cash or large down payment

AdDangerous897 2026-02-20 03:20

The air suspension what makes this thing cool I’m kind of over it now. It’s still expensive. Tesla now has become a luxury vehicle.

skinnah 2026-02-20 03:21

You can probably add an aftermarket one I'm guessing. There were aftermarket ones for the 3 and Y before Tesla started putting them in the 3 and Y.

skinnah 2026-02-20 03:22

![gif](giphy|uRbvH8FijV2W54K1H8)

adacardano 2026-02-20 03:22

No?

WillDill94 2026-02-20 03:23

Shame the back is still fugly

wamsankas 2026-02-20 03:24

Had a model 3 without and cybertruck with at same time. You cant drive in LA summer without ventilated

Square_Ad_3276 2026-02-20 03:24

That’s a more reasonable price. I can’t recall, except for towing, is this pretty much what they showed at the presentation for the mid range version?

rasin1601 2026-02-20 03:24

We have the screen and the kids never use it. It’s low and can’t compare with a tablet.

dankofartus 2026-02-20 03:25

Tesla is still offering FSD transfer until end of March if that matters to you.

mrchowmein 2026-02-20 03:27

They could easily reskin the CT with more normal looking body panels and a hatch and call it the new X. Just throw in a new party trick to replace the doors

baconreader9000 2026-02-20 03:27

That’s about 50k in 2026 so maybe they might drop it even lower

dj0ntCosmos 2026-02-20 03:28

tbf thats $50k in today's money. This isn't too far off!

Dtracz 2026-02-20 03:28

IPad

dankofartus 2026-02-20 03:28

FSD transferrable until end of March. Depends on how you camp, there are many aftermarket camping accessories to choose from that will enable/enhance camping experience.

Mbaby1989 2026-02-20 03:29

Powered Frunk!?!?

Significant-Ad-1260 2026-02-20 03:29

It’s better for your kids. Less screen time.

dankofartus 2026-02-20 03:29

FSD transferrable until 3/31

Palbi 2026-02-20 03:30

Gen 1 is way better bang for the buck. (Although I wish it had the Apple CarKey support that Gen 2 has)

skinnah 2026-02-20 03:30

The unventilated seats in our 2023 Y definitely get sweaty. Even just having the seats perforated helps a lot. I've had several vehicles with ventilated seats. It's nice but not 10k extra nice. I drive a Ford Lightning Flash that has cloth seats. I generally prefer them to unventilated seats in the Y but the Y seats are more comfortable outside of the sweating in hot months.

sikdaz 2026-02-20 03:30

no thanks

daewootech 2026-02-20 03:33

No cooled seats, no air suspension

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 03:34

The issue isn’t how it looks. It’s that it screams Elon fan.

mhatrick 2026-02-20 03:34

inflation adjusted, this is not that far off from the 39k they promised. Might be even cheaper

matterd1984 2026-02-20 03:34

Inflation bro…

mhatrick 2026-02-20 03:36

considering a model y premium is $45k now? This seems like alot more vehicle for $15k

mhatrick 2026-02-20 03:37

I think the price is really the only thing they needed to adjust, and this might be enough to do it. Tons of people wanted this truck at $40k. Inflation adjusted this is less than $40k

NectarineSevere6686 2026-02-20 03:40

People who don’t live where it’s 90%+ humidity 90%+ of the time, don’t understand.

MrDERPMcDERP 2026-02-20 03:40

Significant-Ad-1260 2026-02-20 03:49

Iknowthings19 2026-02-20 03:52

I would assume most of them haven't driven anything that size before.

jnads 2026-02-20 03:53

Model 3 and Y seats are synthetic leather (aka polyurethane / plastic).

jnads 2026-02-20 03:53

*Polyurethane Model 3 and Model Y seats are made of Polyurethane "synthetic leather"

RecognitionTricky 2026-02-20 03:53

Adjusting for inflation would be $50k from announcement in 2019

weiga 2026-02-20 03:54

But they don't know different words. NPC's are just programmed with short sound bites that's supposed to burn, but generally meaningless and forgetable.

aranea100 2026-02-20 03:55

No ventilated seats is a no go for me.

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 03:58

What truck is a better deal?

turns2stone 2026-02-20 03:59

They don't on the 'cheap' versions of the Y/3

turns2stone 2026-02-20 04:00

The insane exterior is the appeal, to many.

Fr33PantsForAll 2026-02-20 04:01

The low end ones don’t.

Emergency-Note1162 2026-02-20 04:02

Unless they start providing autopilot this shit ain’t gonna sell after the initial excitement drops.

Emergency-Note1162 2026-02-20 04:04

Also, for 60k you get no ventilated seats, 7 speakers and no rear screen or seat heating is a no go.

alman12345 2026-02-20 04:05

“Just a bit” is quite the understatement, there are two in my small city of 46,000 people and everyone knows it 😂

[deleted] 2026-02-20 04:07

Not bad

BlancoBabyy 2026-02-20 04:09

Kinda want it 😭

Fragrant_Shake 2026-02-20 04:10

What do you mean keep? The cyber truck has a Cd of around .48 which is horrible.

icy1007 2026-02-20 04:11

They are not plastic. Just because they have similar base materials doesn’t make them the same.

alman12345 2026-02-20 04:11

I genuinely wouldn’t drive anything that looks gaudy, be it a Lamborghini or a Cybertruck. I just don’t like the design at all and the bed is the most impractical thing I’ve seen in my life where you can’t grab shit from deep in the bed off the sides easily.

Corndog_Farkle 2026-02-20 04:13

It looks like the A pillar speaker is removed on the interior imagery.. I'd like the ability to do this but not optimistic on it.

Dneubauer09 2026-02-20 04:15

That's exactly what I'm thinking about 5-8+ years down the road.

Penny__Packer 2026-02-20 04:15

Sad world we live in today when their comment makes you think they don’t have kids

passiveMelon1 2026-02-20 04:16

They are made out of plastic, coined "vegan leather" because plastic sounds cheap.

Imperial_Citizen_00 2026-02-20 04:16

Does it come with FSD?

icy1007 2026-02-20 04:17

They are not plastic… plastic is a very different material.

spacemantodd 2026-02-20 04:17

With these stats it seems like an extremely limited market they are going for.

WildMasterpiece3663 2026-02-20 04:18

Damnit I just leased a Y

Away-Scar7754 2026-02-20 04:19

Cybertruck is not for me. Just too ugly

wbrumfiel 2026-02-20 04:22

Still ugly as shit

Comprehensive-Mix645 2026-02-20 04:22

So how does this compare price wise to an F-150?

asdf4fdsa 2026-02-20 04:23

Hit compare on the build page, and it's under Included With All Trims under Key Features: Steer-by-wire and Four wheel steering

AmbitiousFunction911 2026-02-20 04:27

That’s incredibly dumb.

daikoncatlego 2026-02-20 04:32

I own a model Y juniper and my kid loved using the rear screen at first, but now she barely even uses it, as she prefers to use her own device when she needs to stay entertained for a long drive. To me, the positioning of the rear screen is awkward and looking down at it for a log period of time makes me nauseous. I can live without it. Definitely considering a cybertruck with this trim.

NothingToSeeHereSir4 2026-02-20 04:34

Still ugly

Expert_Context5398 2026-02-20 04:35

Why not apply 4680 to Model Y, though?

TheGamerguy110 2026-02-20 04:35

I can respect that opinion because it actually makes sense. Most of the haters don't even have a valid reason for their hate

Expert_Context5398 2026-02-20 04:35

You're not going to find better range than this at this price range. Can't have it all.

Soft_Way4794 2026-02-20 04:36

Doubt it. Tons of people wanted this truck at $40k back when there weren't as many EV options (like years ago) and before Elon got into politics.

Expert_Context5398 2026-02-20 04:36

$50k and I'd buy even though my garage doesn't fit it. $60k is still a great deal, though. I just can't justify it over replacing my Y right now.

AdministrativeAd9828 2026-02-20 04:37

Still waiting for the 500mi range at 69k which is what was promised. This car is a design compromise for the specs, without the specs, why compromise

ca_work 2026-02-20 04:39

wonder if you can add it yourself afterwards

Trick-Introduction23 2026-02-20 04:41

How good is the air suspension? I have a 2024 model Y and I am really tempted on this

TheJuiceBoxS 2026-02-20 04:42

Seems pretty good, I just wish it wouldn't be embarrassing to be seen in one.

Professional-Cow3566 2026-02-20 04:44

May very well have the speakers in it already, like the standard model 3 from back in the day, you’d just need a extra cable To hook em up

Michael-Brady-99 2026-02-20 04:46

How is the Tesla vinyl seats garbage? I have. 2019 with white seats that still look amazing with zero cracks or creases. That’s not an easy thing to do.

oxyi 2026-02-20 04:46

Put 0% on it and I’m in!

alman12345 2026-02-20 04:47

To each their own, as they say! I can respect those who do enjoy the Cybertruck as well because some of the features they packed into it are genuinely useful (like steer by wire and the 9.6kW AC out for power tools and such), and it's not a bad vehicle to drive based on what people have said about it.

Crazyhairmonster 2026-02-20 04:49

How could it possibly be a deal breaker when iPads exist?

Day-Trippin 2026-02-20 04:49

This isn't a bad deal. Still wouldn't buy one, but this might make more people jump. I wish they would make a more normal-looking truck. I love my Plaid, M3LR and M3P but couldn't bring myself to buy the CT.

Lance-pg 2026-02-20 04:50

I'd rather they updated the model-x, the cybertruck is still hideous.

billsmitherson 2026-02-20 04:53

Are they going to physically join the body panels with something besides glue this time?

nikedemon 2026-02-20 04:56

I ain’t falling

mhatrick 2026-02-20 04:59

The average sale price of a car has gone up 30% from 2019. Maybe not the absolute best metric, but this is inline with that

mhatrick 2026-02-20 04:59

I believe $60k is the cheapest electric truck on sale right now. If not one of the cheapest

Ordinary-Cake8510 2026-02-20 05:00

This would for sure not interest me in the slightest.

VRDaggre 2026-02-20 05:02

That’s my first thought too. If you have a UWC and a Tesla gateway that’s enough backup battery for 3-4 days on my house… if only I didn’t HATE the look so much!

Open_Situation686 2026-02-20 05:04

Some people don’t want to drive a wedge homage. Lots of people. That’s not weird if you think about it.

TheGamerguy110 2026-02-20 05:14

Not at all. What is weird is the amount of people who see Cybertruck owners as some kind of evil and feel a need to flip them off and harass them in public

kconfire 2026-02-20 05:22

But with some load what’s the range gonna be like? 80 miles? 🤣

matthew19 2026-02-20 05:24

What is a Lexus GX?

matthew19 2026-02-20 05:25

Those people have already bought by now.

Original-Material301 2026-02-20 05:30

Yeah for real. I don't like my kids having too much screen time. Even on road trips they're not allowed to have any screen time so they'll have to entertain themselves or look out the window.

Toastybunzz 2026-02-20 05:43

Hah well maybe a used one will be a reasonable price now. Although I don’t think it’ll fit in my driveway

Significant-Ad-1260 2026-02-20 05:49

It’s extremely hard for long road trips. My family just took a 4 hours trip to Las Vegas last weekend and the best I could do is screen time for 30 mins and no screen for 30 mins (talk to grok or read books)

ExtensionKitchen4457 2026-02-20 05:53

Any other truck. Vomiting in my mouth every time I see my truck is not worth any discount

bandoandroid 2026-02-20 06:01

Meanwhile Cybertruck starts at $139,990 in Canada...

Standard_Till_2451 2026-02-20 06:04

I thought it says motorized bed cover included

Standard_Till_2451 2026-02-20 06:07

I would be pissed if I bought the standard version RWD for 69K

OkMathematician3494 2026-02-20 06:08

still 140k for the base version in Canada. if this becomes 70-80k Canadian, ill get one =

Standard_Till_2451 2026-02-20 06:09

What made the difference in towing capacity? Different motors?

Original-Material301 2026-02-20 06:10

Yeah completely understand the struggle. When I do 4h road trips mine don't get screen time unless it's at the rest stops while they're having snacks and I'm having a coffee (and the car is charging lol) Mine are used to having little screen time but the 4 year old will ask a lot and his grandparents just gives him their phones when I'm not looking and then the 8 year old will get annoyed 😅 I don't have grok yet but I'm looking forward to trying it out for stories and chats for stuff they might see and want to know more of while I'm driving.

Tinnylemur 2026-02-20 06:14

Cool, does it still look like a low poly hunk of iron shit?

[deleted] 2026-02-20 06:17

A lot of creature comforts, but no way that stuff adds up to $10k, let alone $20k.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 06:18

For $20k you can buy them a new iPad a week for the next year.

Tinnylemur 2026-02-20 06:18

Tons of people wanted this truck at 40k when they over promised the hell out of it and said it would have 500 mile range and record breaking towing capacity. Nobody wants an extremely watered down version of that hallucination, even for 40k.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 06:19

Even living in Florida I don’t think ventilated seats are worth $10k.

[deleted] 2026-02-20 06:19

Yes, definitely worth $20k to have the light bar.

Open_Situation686 2026-02-20 06:19

I agree that’s beyond weird

dibsies 2026-02-20 06:21

Unfortunately still ugly af

Mediocre_Paramedic22 2026-02-20 06:23

That’s actually worth considering

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:30

You guys know you can add that. I have model s seats I bought for my y. Ventilated.. Going to be adding ventilated seats to my Lexus LX470. Costs less than a grand.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:31

Yes

silverf1re 2026-02-20 06:33

No ventilation on seats is my personal no go.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:33

Why are you here? Just spouting nonsense. Shows you know NOTHING about this truck. The turning radius is what turns people into believers of this thing.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:34

The issue is you caring what others think. The truck has tons of advantages over other trucks.

silverf1re 2026-02-20 06:35

Silverado EV max pack is 205 kWh vs the 130? Of the cyber truck. Maybe not 60k but definitely doable for 70k. The 170 pack is absolutely doable for 60

mhatrick 2026-02-20 06:36

I’m not taking any sides, just stating what was originally promised. They said 300 mi of range at $50k. Adjusted for inflation would be $63k and now gets 325 mi range. They also promised a rwd 250 mi range at $40k. Adjusted for inflation that would be around $50k So they are right on for the awd variant, maybe even slightly cheaper and more range. I could definitely see them releasing a rwd for $50-55k which would also be close to their low end model originally promised.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:38

It has an 18 inch wheel option which will dampen the ride significantly. You can always just change the suspension as well for a couple grand in the future. To me, I think it's crazy to trust the air suspension since it's not tried and true to this vehicle yet. The coil suspension just made this truck more future proof and durable. You can also update the sound system. I'd guess the speakers MIGHT still be in there like on some older model 3 and y cars. Someone made a device to unlock them. Same for rear heated seats. But that's just speculation.

ArtDecoAutomaton 2026-02-20 06:42

And the bit about being as fragile as a porcelain leg lamp

icy1007 2026-02-20 06:43

I’m not quite sure what they did that would lower the towing capacity. Might be something in the frame? From what I can tell, it has the same motors as the Premium dual-motor model.

TBandi 2026-02-20 06:44

Wait the CT has active noise cancellation? It is quiet-ish but I don’t notice ANC levels of quiet when driving it

mhatrick 2026-02-20 06:47

I think there is a decent segment of the population that liked the looks but could not afford $80-100k. I think they will sell pretty well at this price, and even more if they can do a $50k rwd trim

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 06:50

That sounds pretty objective. Do you visit the sub just a trash on it?

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 06:52

I think everybody buys a car partially of how they will be perceived. One of the reasons I like my model 3 so much, nobody thinks about it.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:54

No. Everyone doesn't. If you're secure in who you are then why would you let the perception of people who don't pay your bills or care about you have any influence over what you do for yourself?

ExtensionKitchen4457 2026-02-20 06:58

I don't know why it popped up on my feed. It's objectively hideous to 99% of people. Sorry if you bought one

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 07:01

I haven’t, but you’re very wrong about 99%. They still demand for good money used. Which shows it’s idesirable. Maybe not in your circle.

OwMyDragonBallz 2026-02-20 07:07

Damn, my Model Y Premium comes with all of that at a decent amount cheaper. Crazy they'd cut so much.

riddlechance 2026-02-20 07:40

If you've ever had to peel yourself off a car seat on a hot day, you know the value of ventilated seats.

TrollTollCollector 2026-02-20 07:41

Isn't air suspension only worth about $3k on most vehicles? It doesn't matter much if you don't tow (which is true of most truck owners). $20k is a pretty good discount considering the entirety of the features that were removed.

Stivo887 2026-02-20 07:54

Man I want that PowerShare…I wish they’d give it to new model 3s and ys. I have solar and power walls, if I had a cybertruck I could flip off PGE for good.

bossman-808 2026-02-20 08:48

But still the same door stop shape? Nah.

CastroIRL 2026-02-20 09:17

Adjusted for inflation, we’re not too far off with the new version

DigitalJEM 2026-02-20 10:09

MangoAtrocity 2026-02-20 11:30

Who’s towing 10k lbs with a Cybertruck? You be able to tow it, what, like 80 miles before you run out of juice?

MangoAtrocity 2026-02-20 11:32

No kidding. It drives me NUTS that they won’t bring it to the non-performance Juniper. We have a 75kWh battery sitting in our garage and can’t use it as a house backup. Painful.

SpartanValley 2026-02-20 11:33

Yeah, I know it’s an out of left field comment. I’ve always loved the Tacoma (and 4Runner) look. Would love to see an EV of either.

AwarenessTop7773 2026-02-20 11:36

I thought this before buying a Tesla. When you leave the ac running while running errands and precool the interior with a tap two minutes before leaving, ventilated seats are obsolete.

AwarenessTop7773 2026-02-20 11:40

None of this happens in a Tesla. It’s the second best reason to have an electric vehicle. The ac stays on while you go inside to shop or eat. Only 1 tap on your phone two minutes before leaving and your cabin is refrigerator cold. In case you care, the first is instant power. Transmissions are obsolete.

UnderdevelopedFurry 2026-02-20 11:41

>affordable >Starts at $59,990 >adaptive damping Right… most of the population will seenzone this trim

bokka_gaaru 2026-02-20 12:12

Is this config only available for the next 10 days?

floppypancakes4u 2026-02-20 12:16

Eh. Im still debating canceling my Y order. The 0% offer was very enticing, but i only qualified for the 0.99% offer because im getting premium trim. Fine, that's on me. I exceed all requirements listed on their financing page for getting 0.99%. Above 730 credit, money down... they came back with 2.99%. I asked what gives, and talked to multiple tesla employees, and they assured me that putting down 5% as well would get me 0.99%. I apply for tesla financing again with more than 5%.. 2.99 and 3.99% offers. Are we being for real right now? Now they just keep telling me (same employees) that the fine print says i may still not qualify, even after their assurances. Now, I can't even finish the process on the app, cause its telling me to update the app to complete my delivery tasks.. (didnt work). Im incredibly frustrated with it, and probably going to cancel my order. Just wish it was easier to talk to finance and figure out whats actually going on

Phantom3269 2026-02-20 12:39

You can’t say that. It goes against the rhetoric despite you being spot on.

Odd_Opportunity_6011 2026-02-20 12:40

People have done it for decades.

Phantom3269 2026-02-20 12:47

Find me a truck for 60k anywhere else. That’s really a great deal. And it is the 39k version they advertised back in 2019. With inflation it should be 50-55k so it’s spot on.

Jumpy_Implement_1902 2026-02-20 12:49

Ultra low cost of ownership, except when it comes to insurance

wintermuttt 2026-02-20 12:53

I want one but the wife...

So the not having a paint causing rust is not a thing? I stand corrected on the turning radius. Look at my response to other commenter

MyMonte87 2026-02-20 13:06

a brick

EnticinglyPurple 2026-02-20 13:06

Honestly it’s the drag that does it vs the weight being towed. Air drag is such a drain. Testing proves it.

MyMonte87 2026-02-20 13:07

weird, i love the look. Especially in a matte black, or gray.

mquintos 2026-02-20 13:15

Earlier today, Elon said Irving is only for 10 days

You’re wasting your time arguing with someone who is mind controlled by the matrix. It’s sad.

Alucardis666 2026-02-20 13:21

Much better deal than before!

TTP222 2026-02-20 13:23

I can’t get over how many people here don’t seem to understand that 40% of the world’s money supply was printed over the last 5 years. They are completely oblivious to inflation. Smh. This is a great update from Tesla and it addresses almost every mistake they made with the first iteration of this trim. Should be a very good value work truck, fleet vehicle, or just less expensive option for families. Hope it sells well!

PuzzledBrainDrain 2026-02-20 13:23

If I hadn’t gotten MY recently, I’d rather buy this.. also, for people who’re dissing on the looks, fair point but then you ain’t the target market

T_Nutts 2026-02-20 13:30

Have you tested this theory with a road trip in the Southeastern US in the middle of August?

VQV37 2026-02-20 13:39

That was 2020 inflation adjusted that 40,000 is now closer to 52,000 This is close to the deals we're going to get for it. However my issue is the lack of range that they originally promised. also looks like they gave up on the range extending battery add-on

RetroGaming4 2026-02-20 13:44

Very nice for lower price point folks. The ‘premium’ AWD is still the best deal. The air suspension, rear screen for kids, audio system (which is heaven on earth!!), l tracks are enough for me. I have driven the cyber beast and the noise of the front motor is a deal breaker for me.

Unfair_Trip_7985 2026-02-20 13:44

60k to power my home during outages!! If this is the 120kw battery that’s insanely great price. Especially compared to a powerwall

Mavdawg28 2026-02-20 13:48

For 10 days only tho at that 59k price

sefar1 2026-02-20 13:54

Absolutely. I get about the same range whether my trailer is empty or loaded. But I don't feel the trailer at all. Yesterday I backed it up the steep driveway effortlessly where my diesel truck used to struggle.

MrDERPMcDERP 2026-02-20 13:59

I’m just used to nonparent redditors telling other parents how to parent! From my experience once you have kids you realize you really shouldn’t be telling other people how to raise theirs!

MrDERPMcDERP 2026-02-20 14:00

I don’t know if talking to MechaHitler is any better than Bluey!!

planko13 2026-02-20 14:17

matthew19 2026-02-20 14:41

Why haven’t you bought one?

MyMonte87 2026-02-20 14:42

live in an apartment, i did get model Y - i f'n love it, we all do.

Due-Falcon9501 2026-02-20 15:00

Every time I see one it is a single Asian man driving it, but this is in Irvine. So…

abrahamw888 2026-02-20 15:14

Seriously what a missed opportunity. I wish they would take this feedback and update the looks. They could even keep it mostly stainless steel.

wamsankas 2026-02-20 15:21

Naw not true. Zero breathability in the none ventilated “leather” seats

Holiday-Youth-6722 2026-02-20 15:23

I cringe anytime I see this prototype on the road. It's fucking UGLY. The dudes driving it always look so proud like they are really driving something special. If you don't get your microwave on wheels out of here 😂

antball 2026-02-20 15:29

I ain’t slipping

MiLKK_ 2026-02-20 15:29

Still too much

dibsies 2026-02-20 15:38

Same!

Dynamo_Ham 2026-02-20 15:43

Does it still look like a Cybertruck?

Reasonable-Block4064 2026-02-20 15:58

They need to stop with the textile seats. That’s so annoying and can’t save them much money bc now they have to buy two different seating materials

Pristine-Fortune8298 2026-02-20 16:26

3rd parties will fill in the gap.

nachx 2026-02-20 16:36

Something like this? https://preview.redd.it/bjsol8pdgokg1.jpeg?width=676&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0af54dcf3a7964ac75f51b652bedaf54d5b70cc1 Too conventional for a Tesla. At least the Cybertruck is unique.

Armaced 2026-02-20 16:54

Don’t try to speak for 99% of the people - their opinions neither validate nor invalidate your own or mine.

Dinosity101 2026-02-20 17:07

I would love a ct if it were free

Big_Fortune_4574 2026-02-20 17:07

Does it even work with solar yet? Last I heard the CT can’t power the house if you’re generating solar and vice versa Edit: nvm found it, [apparently coming this year ](https://driveteslacanada.ca/news/tesla-delays-powershare-with-powerwall-until-mid-2026/)

Dinosity101 2026-02-20 17:08

I’m surprised at the seemingly positive response of the budget cybertruck

aranea100 2026-02-20 17:13

If you are driving for 15 min or so yes; however, if you are driving 45+ min under the SoCal sun, you'd be surprised!

turns2stone 2026-02-20 17:23

Not necessarily. I just place my order last week.

tarheelbandb 2026-02-20 19:13

Aren't we still waiting on the $25k version of the Model 3 that was promised first?

stanley_fatmax 2026-02-20 19:31

With PowerShare, this price is nearing "throw it on bricks and use it to power the home" territory. That was my original plan for the F-150 Lightning but no dealer would sell them for list price.

ApprehensiveSuit92 2026-02-20 19:58

If this get 1 upvote I’ll do it

ca_work 2026-02-20 20:11

what is the actual technical limitation for the decrease in the towing capacity? anyone know?

Historical-Bug-7536 2026-02-20 20:20

Interesting. Everyone I've ever heard talk about the rear screen just say that it's a neat gimmick that only gets used to for AC control. The screen is just too small for the games and videos.

watergoesdownhill 2026-02-20 20:50

Sure kid, glad you are immune to it. I’m sure that’s 100% true.

Few-Wolverine-7283 2026-02-20 21:18

Right. Also not sure how much the rate rating changes? Pretty sure my model Y can tow 15k pounds. safely on the highway, no. But moving stuff isn't hard for these motors. So to downgrade 11k to 7.5k.. what changed? Did they weaken the frame? Smaller brakes? Wonder what actually changed.

kenroth50 2026-02-20 21:18

On Google article they said the newer truck is lower price

Few-Wolverine-7283 2026-02-20 21:19

I live up N, but yah I have drove to FL and back, no problem. Pre-cool is great.

lotofry 2026-02-20 21:19

I think it’s because of the actual electric architecture that it isn’t on the non performance y. I remember seeing some video about it

Few-Wolverine-7283 2026-02-20 21:21

I live \~2 hours from the service center. Over 5 years and 2 teslas.. had to go maybe 2 or 3 times? It aint great, but its ok. Mobile service has kicked butt for a few things, like a driver window replaced in my garage. Now if I got the unlucky car that needs 14 trips to the service center? Would not be so fun.

lotofry 2026-02-20 21:22

I think it looks kinda cool but it’s definitely polarizing lol. I’m hard passing on it now because of Elon’s dumb “10 day” pressure tactic but I would have had to do numerous 1 or 2 day test drives to be confident enough in the problems having been sorted out, along with a lot of research. Unfortunately Elon’s big mouth just stopped a serious potential customer. Still love my other teslas though 😁

Few-Wolverine-7283 2026-02-20 21:22

This is where being able to actually configure them more like a traditional car would be nice. I would love air suspension and pay 5k (maybe more?) for it. I have 0 use for cool seat and would not pay $1 for. But I do understand that different people, and different places, can change the priorities.

mac10190 2026-02-20 21:58

I ain't following

jabroni4545 2026-02-20 21:59

Does this lose the bed trunk?

One-Twist8044 2026-02-20 22:17

If you compare to last years 80k premium awd after fed tax credit (72k) - is this 60k better than 72k? Idk 12k for ventilated leather seats, air suspension, 20" tires, rear screen and cabin 110 outlets... what do you guys think?

Team-Rocketto-Dan 2026-02-20 23:28

I like the way it looks, probably same for the guys you see driving them. I'm sure they are keenly aware of how it looks ugly to many people too. Different strokes for different blokes.

Standard-Following69 2026-02-20 23:32

So height is no longer adjustable? And will rear wheel still turning? Keeping the same turning radius? Anyone knows?

Sweet-Mechanic4568 2026-02-20 23:56

60K is not ultra low cost and that thing is still a pile of shit. But good news this is just going to tank their value on the used car market even more so you may be able to pick one of these shitboxes up for 30k sooner than expected

Jeffc814 2026-02-21 00:23

Unfortunately I won’t be in need for a car within 10 days so I guess I miss out. Hopefully that’ll be a permanent price soon and he’s just testing the waters for now to gauge sales

deedsnance 2026-02-21 00:37

It would sell so well. I’d have absolutely been in the market. I just won’t drive around in that statement of a vehicle… I am not alone.

FNboy 2026-02-21 04:20

Does your Model Y have steer by wire? Can it power your house? Four wheel steering?

Lenny1jz 2026-02-21 05:01

Hmmmm. Rethinking my considering of a used r1s.

bittabet 2026-02-21 06:10

They are also doing $1000 loyalty and referral as well as $500 off for a whole bunch of careers so it’s easily $59K for anybody who bothers to look for a referral link and $58500 if you’re a doctor/nurse/emt/military/police/teacher. Adjusted for inflation this is actually coming in under the original 50K trim.

bittabet 2026-02-21 06:12

Probably not too costly to add back if you REALLT need one but it’s in a very strange location to actually watch media anyways.

bittabet 2026-02-21 06:13

To be fair cloth seats are a lot less terrible at overheating you

bittabet 2026-02-21 06:14

Well, excessive screen time isn’t good for kids but you could just mount and iPad somewhere

bittabet 2026-02-21 06:14

No the rwd version also had only seven

Standard_Till_2451 2026-02-21 07:52

You’re probably right. Didn’t even think about that

Standard_Till_2451 2026-02-21 07:56

I would be pissed if I bought that very watered down 69 K standard RWD version

Tassidar 2026-02-21 15:12

I ain’t ballin’

magbarn 2026-02-21 15:16

August in Phoenix AZ says ventilated seats worth $10K

Professional-Cow3566 2026-02-21 15:17

I just picked up a 26 standard model y yesterday and the sound system sounds the same as my wife’s 25 model y “Premium”

yoshinoone 2026-02-21 21:15

yes

rigon28 2026-02-22 03:24

How dare you talk sense on reddit 😂

MobileWeldingWizard 2026-02-22 07:38

Probably will be in a future refresh, if its not canned all together like the X and S
