Question on back seat removal

Hi Everyone, Got a 2024 seal and love it, only issue is due to the back seats not going fully flat it makes putting some gear in the boot harder. For context I'm a solo person so barely anyone ever rides in the car with me outside a rare occasion Was wondering 1) would removing the back seat void any form of warranty if i do it carefully ? (Was looking at removing the back part of the seat and keeping the cusion as it seems it detaches based on [https://imgur.com/6eUhnYL](https://imgur.com/6eUhnYL) and a few videos) 2) anyone ever done it before ? i can see in a few videos it has the yellow airbag cable plug that i could unplug possibly.

So you want to remove the back rest. As to warranty, no idea, but if you wrap them up for storage, and refit for services, you'd expect they'd never know. The base pulls out quite easily, pull the rear edge forward then up. They just press in wire loops into retainers (no screws), which is a design common to probably 99% of vehicles on the road.

there are two small connectos located at the rear of the seat cushion, you will see them when you lift the seat

In most states this can defect your vehicle and therefore void your insurance should you get involved in an accident (insurers love to find any reason not to pay out). If you got pulled over by a particularly vindictive cop they might even defect you on the spot and get your vehicle towed. Many in the 4WD community have had this issue before. Official way for permanent removal is to go through vehicle modification process.
