Cash Back Promo - Jan

I ordered my seal performance on the 7th of Jan. Picked up on the 13th. One of my conditions for making the order was that I wanted it within 7 days. Ultimately the dealer made that happen. But it seemed somewhat difficult. Im in vic Got my 3k cashback last week.

similar. I ordered early Jan Seal Performance Shark Grey. Was also told they thought I'd get one in Feb. They called me last Friday (mid feb) also to say next shipment is late March or April now. Even then cant confirm ill be allocated one from that shipment. I kinda understand having to wait, but its unacceptable they seem to have no idea when

Nice. For 7 day turnaround they must have had stock somewhere in the country. Which is interesting as when I was checking the online stock thing they have and called my local, they said there was none in any colour.. maybe it was just a timing thing and one became available at some point. Liking the car?

Yeah, pretty much exact same as me. Ive done the new car wait thing a few times now, so I get it. Just disappointing to have a whole ass promotion which it seems like most of the cars they offered it on were no chance of being delivered in Feb to qualify.. I even offered to change colour and got told it wouldnt change anything, so they legit just have none. So again, they were never going to be paying out on the promotion..

There is two black available in NSW and one white in Tasmania through EV Dealer Group

Interesting, I haven't been told this at all. Might make some more calls this week. Appreciate that info. I like the look of the black but really unsure I want to have a black car and all the work that comes with it..

Ordered end of December, got it 2 weeks into January, $3k cash back only received early Feb. Loving the car.

In a similar situation, ordered a premium in the gray late Jan, and the $3k offer was part of the sales pitch. Although I was specifically told at the point of putting down the deposit that all colours were in stock, the dealer later denied having said that and I've only just been allocated a car. Seems pretty unlikely I'll take it home within the week. Would be interested in hearing if anyone has had experience trying to get them to honour these promotions, as they seem to be handled centrally rather than by the dealership.

Yeah I called them this week, been told no chance of getting one to redeem promo and they won't transfer a car between states. Which is something I was told they could do during test if it was needed to fill an order. Although they are saying the stock check online is wrong either way. It's been a pretty disappointing experience so far not going to lie.

Damn. Yeah, it's pretty poor form. My dealer was really pushing the promotion but it's pretty clear he would have known full well that there was no chance of getting the car by then. Not sure why he lied about it being in stock though. He even said I could expect a car to be allocated the next day 🤷

The pushing the promo thing is what was odd to me too. It's a fully refundable deposit at basically any time.. what benefit is there to pushing the promo as a sales point on certain cars you have no intention or ability of being able to deliver in said promo? Maybe they just expect people won't cancel.
