Auto indicator camera

Picked up a Seal the other day and having a bit of a hard time with this, so just wanted to make sure it’s not something I’m doing. I turned on the option to have the camera come on when indicating under 20km/h, which it sort of does but it seems very inconsistent, and when it does work the camera stays on for like 2 seconds and then disappears again (I’m not increasing speed). I did try rebooting the entertainment system but that hasn’t helped so thought I’d check here before I bug them about it.

Mine certainly stays on much longer than that. Probably too long for my liking. I have noticeds it is sometimes inconsistent with regard to the conditions that it turns on. I will check my settings this afternoon and give you an update on what mine is set to. Are you using Android Auto or CarPlay?

Great thanks, I do use CarPlay (I'm not sure the cameras come up at all if Carplay is on, so I've been testing it just on the main BYD "homescreen")

I have the same issue. I test drove the 2024 Seal and one of things I noticed was how the camera would stay on when turning. I've since bought the 2025 Seal and same issue. Camera stays on for 2 seconds or not at all

Cool thanks, at least it’s not just me. Maybe I’ll wait until the next software update and if that doesn’t help I’ll mention it to the service people

[my settings](https://freeimage.host/i/KlMTU5F) Just been testing it in the drive home and works fine and stays on until about 3 seconds after I got 25km Mine works fine with android auto running. It would be interesting to know if you have any problems bringing up the camera by pressing the button on the steering wheel. Does it remain on if you activate it manually with that button?

Yep it works fine with the button. The guy above is also having the same issue at least

I have the same issue, it turns on about 2 seconds and gone even if I do not speed up

Ok so since the very first Seals (mine included) I go when they first came out it stated in the settings (not sure if still does) but the side mirror cameras engage only when the vehicle is travelling no more than 12km/h and then the indicator is used. I wish I could increase the speed in which it activates but sadly that’s what it is and has been since day one. As soon as the vehicle picks up speed it turns the camera view off and goes back to normal.
