OS Version

The 'v1.x' versions are next to meaningless, they change country to country, get reused (as you've noticed), and are useless for determining the actual software version. Use the 13.1.33.xxxx version numbers ie 2412, 2501, 2503. The update rolling out at the moment in Australia is 2503. If yours is 2501 you will probably get the OTA to 2503 shortly. Mine's just received the OTA this morning and is currently updating as I type this. I'll check for that option when It's done

I think I saw that's part of the 2503, not 2501? I'm still waiting for my OTA....

what version were you on before? and if it was 2412/2501 was it official OTA or was it manual loaded?

2412, manual update because I NEEDED the seat preset shortcut on the shortcut bar. OTA to 2403 before that

ok sweet - so it OTA'd from manual-2412 to 2503 without any problems?

I have to restore the stock boot and system partitions first as I had modified mine, which would certainly cause the differential update to fail. I'll run the OTA after I've had a chance to restore it between work meetings

hrmm, but you still got prompted to upgrade regardless? im on manual-2412 and just trying to make sure thats not the reason for the lack of OTA update... or whether im just in the queue on BYD's end...

awesome. when you say the stock sys/boot partitions, can i ask what you were doing to have them modified in the first instance?

Yeah it’s meant to be for On you don’t need to press the power button after putting put on the brake. Off is once you put it in park and lock the doors it auto off.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you manually update it? I’ve been hanging for the update forever and don’t really wanna wait any longer 😂

There's also a possibility that some of the settings or functionality won't work correctly until the modules are updated due to version mismatch, however no one's reported this yet. You update at your own risk etc etc

So dont update if sideloaded you're saying?

No that's not what I'm saying. Sideloading is unaffected if you already have the unlocked package installer and other apps installed. What I did was something very different that actually modified otherwise read-only partitions. Because it's a differential update, I needed to restore them to be byte for byte identical to the original partitions before the OTA could succeed. Sideloading installs the apps, including the unlocked package installer, on the `userdata` partition not `system` or `boot` partitions

Ahh ok... im still considering if I should just upgrade or wait for ota. I'm on 2412 atm.
