I have to say the after sales support in Brisbane (Newstead) is not great.
Care factor is very low. Leave the car with dirty marks, seats not clipped in, cables thrown into the boot (rather than wrapped up how they found it).
The receptionist gives completely wrong information.
Very disappointing part of buying the BYD is the service centre there.

I had a puncture last year, had to call the roadside assist, all they offered was a tow, but I had to tell them where to, I also had to find where I could get a new tyre (puncture was side wall). My Car were the most helpful, they found the closer mycar and made sure a tyre was sent there same day.

Poor after sales service is an issue across most car brands.

MyCar so far I have found great, BYD local distributors themselves not good at all.
I've tried calling, emailing about the Tesla V3/V4 fix and have not had single response at all. Not even to acknowledge my request or email. First person I also spoke to had no idea what I was talking about.
Don't forget it's not BYD, but Eagers and EV Direct that manage this here in Aus. I think it is reflecting pretty badly on the brand as a whole.

Whereas North Lakes was the best car buying experience I'd ever had.

It's a puncture, I wouldn't take it back to BYD I'd just take it to any tire shop.
It'll be faster, cost less and it won't affect warranty or anything.
I don't go back to a manufacturer dealership of any brand for anything other than log book services, or proper mechanical and warranty issues

The Port Melbourne centre was fantastic for service. Based on my experience in the last 15 months it's getting a lot better.

I’m glad to hear it’s getting better! My sales rep did tell me that things are improving, but it’s good to hear it from someone who has owned one longer term!

I came from Lexus to BYD and the service I got recently was better than Lexus.

I tend to just fix my own tires. I carry a motorbike tire repair kit, pliers it's pretty simple to throw in a plug ti get yourself moving again.

That's probably the reason that BYD are going to sell their upscale brands like Denza directly rather than through Eagers. When people are dropping big coin on a car they're going to be very vocal about terrible service.

At least with the sealion 6. There has been limited OTA updates. So you need to go to the dealer for that. In the Facebook owners groups lots of dealers are not doing the updates while others do

Taller BYD no arregla pinchazos solamente cambian ruedas y el precio no será igual que fuera del concesionario oficial, que te hagan presupuesto si debes cambiarla sino ya lo sabes. Un saludo
