Air conditioning bug

jayare1987 | 2025-03-14 05:34 | 5 views

Got a bit of a weird one... The air conditioning appears to be stuck on and when I try to turn it off it goes off for a second then straight back on. Have tried a reset of the entertainment system but it hasn't fixed anything. It's been like this the last two days. Fine when it's 39 degrees like today... But that won't last!

1. Maybe the "Lo" setting in temp are the cause, try setting the next lowest temp - just a nudge up. 2. Next, try rebooting. Hold down volume roller near gear shifter, until black screen +2 sek. 3. Last option, try "factory reset" the infotainment system

Thanks mate. Yeah not the Lo setting unfortunately. I can change the temp no problem. Last option it will be!

It's something to do with air purification turning itself on. Go into that menu on the right and cycle it on and off.

Thanks mate. Tried cycling through that a few times and didn't fix it... You mean just turning those options on and off a few times yeah?

Yes, my point was maybe the Lo setting keeps ac on, maybe it is not possible to turn off ac when in Lo setting. I can see that you are on an earlier software version. There is a newer version 2412, maybe you can get your dealer to update it for you, so you dont have to wait for OTA update - this could also solve your issue...

This is someone who had the same issue from the Facebook group. I've personally not encountered it yet. https://preview.redd.it/ldugxejvjloe1.png?width=907&format=png&auto=webp&s=d148d4de046698e5fe1c39d75f2962487f34a880

Perfect thank you. Not working at the moment but I'll keep trying that. There may be an end in sight!

Excellent thanks!

I'd say it's the low setting. I never have my ac on low so cant say ive encounteree your problem. I have it on 23/24.

Kinda glad I'm not the only one... Yeah I've tried all that too. I called BYD this afternoon and they pretty much said try and reset it again - otherwise bring it to a service centre which is a bit of a pain to get to for me... But not due for another 5000kms so might have to!

I'll jump back on and let you know if i find a fix in the meantime!

It's either completing the automatic purification cycle, or set to 'comfort' mode. Try switching modes.

jayare1987 2025-03-15 00:43

Thanks mate! Going to the comfort mode setting didn't work, however the automatic purification tab was not selected. I turned that on and it said completed and it was fixed!!

jayare1987 2025-03-15 00:44

We have a solution! The automatic purification was not selected... I selected that, it said automatic purification finished and it all stopped! Now it works again 😁 https://preview.redd.it/bq8ivfcq2roe1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f50aadb449a58ab069984809b6cff0e03cf8597e

Thank you mate. This worked this morning!
