You dont loose sideloaded apps when upgrading, only if you "force" upgrade - then it will format the drive before upgrading. But i have downgraded several times now, no issues here. Now on latest version 2412 with all my apps

Where did you get the application from? Is it possible to share it? Would it void warranty?

You can still bypass qrcode and force downgrade/upgrade... No i dont see anything special in the 2412 upgrade. Just rearrangement of shortcuts, byd voice recognition in diff languages... Nothing you can't wait for, so just wait for the ota
