Always dubious of anything like that, charging speeds are mostly the result of hardware limitations be it the battery or the charging circuit. There might be some gains to squeeze out with more real world data to work with but unless they massively engineered it you're not going to see much from only software
I'm also dubious if they haven't made the update if we would even get it this year. We still don't have last year's updates that EU got.....
There’s a few people reporting getting 1.5 installed at service visits in the last week or so
Mine is tomorrow so I will ask at the time and hope for the best
Will be interested to hear if you get it! I would assume the techs just install whatever the system says is the latest and don’t give a crap beyond that
I asked the service tech and he seemed not to know of any specific update, and said normally its all controlled when they plug in to the car as to what updates and firmware modules are done. Interestingly he said they are going to rotate tires even though that was an added option add on I didn't select nor pay for!
Yeah nothing changed for me. Tech did say there were some module updates applied but that you don't see in any way I guess. So back to the waiting game!
thy did mine also
Bugger. Maybe it’d a limited roll out. Dealer and not My Car I assume?
Maybe so, my service was my car, wo yeah maybe they don't have authority to apply things where BYD Service centre might? No idea. Still great to get free tyre rotation where BYD Service centre might not eo that in the cut back costings?
I’m thinking they probably don’t supply the updates to My Car as quickly as in-house, at the very least. Didn’t know My Car rotated your tyres for free, I paid for that at 10k like a sucker!
Maybe the tech didn't know either?? 😉 it definitely was an option when I was selecting booking, which i didnt tick, or pay for. Bonus?
Haha, maybe. I had my 5k service done at BYD so not sure what the usual procedure there is. I just had it done at my local tyre shop and charged it back to my NL :)
> the battery or the charging circuit. the charging circuit is in the charger when you are DC charging. But you can't update the battery C rating with a software update.
>But you can't update the battery C rating with a software update. Oh you can, there's some fun work stories attached to that one
