Is this an over the air update or did you download and install the global updates yourself?

No OTA yet only manual

Also this version causes the lane departure warning icon to turn from green to orange, possibly because it's disabled, possibly because there's an accompanying module firmware update needed that you won't get with a manual update

I'm due for my 12 month service so will be asking for this!

No I don't, and they didn't. I'm on the telegram channels where people leak these updates though and all the main Australian BYD / Seal social media groups. This update was posted to Telegram just this morning. No one in Australia has yet reported any recent OTAs at all and even if we do get it as an OTA it's always some weeks or months after overseas markets see it. (which means weeks or months after it leaks on the Telegram channels) Additionally, there's been reports of one of the recent updates breaking high speed charging in Europe, so (the rumour) is BYD Australia held back on updates until this is resolved and I've hear no news there yet either.

Yeh, I doubt this is live as an OTA update. Personally, I dont mind installing the global version manually (and I did for 2407), but people should realise this isn't for the faint of heart. 1. its not approved by BYD AU, so if you have issues expect resistance, and if the upgrade fails then... 2. its reported that v1.4 (of which 2412 is) has some issues with fast charging 3. it doesn't update the other firmware components, only the navi/media subsystem, so there may be unexpected consequences by manually installing it. 4. (edit) we dont actually know the source of these packages, they are probably legit, but on the flip side, they could contain malware/etc, so caveat emptor...

Yep, as I mentioned above there is possibly an issue with lane departure warning feature with this update expecting a different module firmware than we would have on our Seals currently. Possibly other issues, this is just one that was obvious to early testers right after updating.

Stand down everyone. Not an official update yet.

personally i see this as a good reason to install the update... haha turn off stupid lane assist permanently (and FCTB & CPD) would be utopia....

Does the integration of Google Maps REPLACE the existing sat-nav map, or provide an alternative?

awesome - but... not all DC chargers are the same. there are a number of differnet protocols involved, so whilst one might be fine, another may not..

At least in my circumstance, I just tested active cruise with lane keeping assist and it was successful. I noticed no difference.

Correct. And school zones. Traffic hazards and ‘sharp bends’ So when you racing your mate fast and furious style you’ll know to slow down for kids at school and tight corners.

Excellent.. I read somewhere probably in this post that there is an issue with some ADAS setting? Do you recommend an upgrade? I know I upgrade 2403 before official release, and I've finally got my car back after 5 months off road and everything is working. I don't want anything to f up since everything is working as I want it to.

3 questions: 1.Would applying this void any sort of warranty, or no different than what others have done downgrading to install custom apps then bringing back to same release. 2. Is there anything specific in the layout or functionality that would differ from RHD to LHD markets? Mirror layout or even more serious? 3. I just updated my Seal with 2412 and don't have the google maps integration on the stock satnav. Do I need to change some settings first?

That’s weird. Do you have the Google logo in the search box?

I don't have it. But the search results seems to be improving, might have to double check if they actually use google map data now
