Firmware 1.3 in Australia, anyone?

Think that's the latest in Oz from what I know. Same version that mine is on, which I thought was 1.2.1 2407 Who do you know with 1.3 in Oz that got it OTA? Based on other updates I normally get it 2 weeks after someone on here says they got it..

Yeah I think some places in Europe on 1.4 now. Not sure what the delay is. We got the first 2 updates before them, then they set to have had 2 new ones we haven't had yet. Maybe we get the next 2 first?

You're right! I didn't even realise there was a 1.4 yet. That's so bad. I understand that they roll the upgrades out progressively, but being 2 versions behind is a bit much.

I believe the reason they haven’t rolled it out to everyone yet was because the updates made people’s cars incompatible with Tesla’s V3 and V4 superchargers.

There's been issues with charger compatibility on the later releases, from what I've seen on BYD Seal australia Facebook group.

Relax. Better to get them when they're ready not just because they're available.

Yep - can’t remember the brand but it would be most Chargefox chargers in Australia.

2407 really only has minor changes over 2403... 2412 is what we want, which is v1.4....

Maybe they needed a 1.4 due to regulations or whatever and Aus. Doesn’t require it? Dunno, just thinking of possible reasons.

I'm also with you and relax and wait for them to get it right. I saw that this update to 1.4 caused some charging issues with specific chargers in Scandi, who knows what that may have done to us in Aus. Would just be nice for them to engage and be transparent with their community. We are the best free advertising they can get! So even from selfish corporate standpoint, it makes sense. I also wouldn't download from the internet updates that may be specific to other markets.

Yeah, I understand that there may be difficulties, but a bit of transparency goes a long way and it's a bit disappointing that the two latest major upgrades have significant issues. Ofc I wouldn't want to update if the newer versions are causing trouble, specially serious ones that involve charging. I was just really looking forward to 1.3 because I've heard that they re-enabled side loading using the third party apps methods. And Was looking forward to 1.4 because apparently they enabled home screen customisation, volume control for the alerts and AC improvements. And those are PRECISELY the very few things that bug me in the car!

Who here has a seal Performance or Premium? Has there been any updates recently? I just got my seal back from the smash repairers and the HUD screen is missing extra info apart from just showing the speed.

Just download the file and update it yourself. It’s an easy process. I moved my seal to 2410 yesterday. Still has the old UI and I don’t really see any difference from 2407

Yep, I've considered that. I've done it before a few times, but 2403->2307 and back. 2403 is good enough for almost everything and I was just cautious abou the reasons why they haven't pushed OTA (turns out it might be issues with public chargers, which is pretty big - worth the wait). Was also wondering if all this downgrading/upgrading wouldn't have somehow prevented the update (looks like it hasn't, since ppl also don't have it).

I got 110km on a Tesla charger today. I don’t have the wiring upgrade yet. But 2410 hasn’t ‘broken’ the handshake to them. Also works on Evie

OTA? Mine's still saying 1.2.0 is the latest.
