Sentry mode

Owned a Seal for almost a year now, and absolutely love it! But when do we think our cars will have Sentry Mode in park like the Tesla? It feels so the hardware is there to make it work and just needs a software change...or am I missing something?

the capability is available using the application from china (a few discords have this data) probably won't come for the same reason the dashcam cable was installed but the dashcam wasn't. "Privacy concerns"

What's the point?

Well if I had to guess, to capture anyone who may damage your car while it's parked. There are still a fair few people who do not like EVs and will go out of their way to cause damage, so it really helps to have that evidence.

Unless you're lucky to get a licence, you'll be hard pressed getting someone to do anything or get any cop to care.

This is so true. My mates tesla had a crack on the sunroof at the front and sentry mode picked up some hooded idiots but meant f all as insurance couldn't care less even with a police report... still had to pay excess.

That's really disappointing, would be a nice thing to have to feel safe An even better stretch would be if you could access the cameras through your app

There’s an app you can pay for and get it. It’s cheap and it works well

I've had it and used it..it's called smart guard. I haven't used it in the last 4 months though cos my car is at the repairers. Worked very well..
