Have had car 2-3 weeks and my car is still on 1.0.0. Sim cars been active maybe a week now. Anyone know why it doesn’t want to update?

There is no version 1.0.0. You are likely looking at the wrong section in the IVI details page. This guy on Youtube has the best details and information about the Seal that I have come across in Australia. At 28s he discussed the versions. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JphACphifwE&t=28s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JphACphifwE&t=28s) Version 2403 V1.2.1 is the most recent version. Should read system version: 13.1.33.2403010.1 I have read once it is more than one version out of date it won't update OTA. If it is still version 1.0.0 the only way to update will be to go to a service centre and get an update.

Mine is the same also as yours. I asked BYD customer service and they said that sometimes the version numbers are counterintuitive and I was on the most up to date version and there is no reason OTA updates shouldn’t apply when the next update is released

I had a similar situation when picking up my Seal. It wasn't updated to the latest version until the 5,000 km service, even though the system declared it was using the most recent version. You may like to test some of the features to see if it is reporting the version type correctly. The quickest way of seeing if V2.0 is installed is if you have wireless car play, as this was introduced in that update. The latest version (v2.02?) allows for single-digit adjustment of the cruise control setting by holding down the toggle (as opposed to push it up or down to have 5km/hr increments). One thing to remember is that updates provided during servicing include much more than the entertainment system.

Yep had the same issue. I was advised the over-the-air updates only are available for a short period of time (maybe 30 days?) If you miss it, you have to take it to a service centre to update or just wait till your next service.
