Do BYD cars squeal like this when coming to a stop?

mine squeaks a little if the brakes haven't been used for a while. you don't use them much, so its usually when im backing out of my house or when I get to the end of my street with a full charge. after the rust rubs off the discs its fine.

That is not right at all. Trip to the dealer required. Trade in your BMW and get something else.

Just gotta slam on the brakes a few times once a while to wear off the surface rust.

Not at all, that shouldn’t even be normal for that BMW. As usual dealerships just lying to get out of doing warranty work, I highly doubt another iX1 will do that. As others have said just a very mild squeak if the cars been parked for a bit or been driven through the rain, as with any other car EV or ICE. Seems to be a BMW EV issue.

Well I’m in a Sealion so I’ll slowly approach a roundabout and the car can take care of that for me
