Cruise control is adjustable in 1 km/h increments.

This doesn’t appear to be in the manual, but it was a game changer for me. I had been using it to up or down in 5 km/h increments, as stated in the manual. In a 60 zone I want it set to 68, which on my car will be a true speed of 65 (don’t judge me). Previously I had wound it to 70 with quick presses of the lever, and then pressed the “set -“ button once to turn ACC off and again as my indicated speed dropped to 68 to set the ACC speed to 68. By accident I discovered that if you hold the lever up or down it will, after a short pause, start to change the set speed in 1 km/h increments. With a bit of experience I can get the timing right to change up or down by 1 or 2 km/h instinctively. Yet another niggle that I didn’t like but had been prepared to live with has been fixed for me. Hope this helps someone else.

I’d been hoping for it since I got it. Maybe it was always there as I discovered it by accident.

It's from the last patch or two. Not this weeks news, but it is new. Did you perhaps just get a service and a software upgrade?

No I got my first service a while ago and the latest patch relatively soon after it came out. I don’t remember seeing detailed patch notes or anywhere this was mentioned and I suspect that I had just never had any reason to hold the lever rather than clicking it. It still isn’t in the manual available online (2023) or in my car (4.0.0.240129.2). I haven’t been able to find patch notes anywhere.

This link https://www.bydowners.com/viewtopic.php?t=160 shows someone expressing the wish for it a couple of weeks ago and no-one has chimed in to say it was available so I’m not sure that it is commonly known.

It's in update 1.2.1 that not everyone has gotten (myself included). I'll be nagging for it next service

Yeh, I was a community chat that brought it to my attention, maybe reddit, but maybe another social.

Agreed. My previous car is like that (Ford). In trying to see if this has been discussed elsewhere I saw that this is how Polestar does it, so maybe BYD just copied it directly from their competition.

I'll test it!! I really hope I have the latest upgrade

Yeah this is only with latest update

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing!

You are very welcome! I’m happy that some people have appreciated it because I would have been happy to see it myself and I was unsure if I had just been a bit slow in the uptake when I found it.

I think it should be reversed. One touch should go up/down by 1km/h. Hold to go up 5km/h increments.  That's how Hyundai's work (10km/h increments though) and is way more logical. Plus easier to get the fine adjustment needed.
