Yeah the sales isn’t great, I suppose because the cars sell themselves. I did not see many on issues with the car itself, And it looks like Victoria isn’t too hot at after sales service

Cars are great, customer service from dealer almost non existant.

Honestly, BYD China needs to give the dealership licences to another company who actually gives a shit. If (and with the current dealership model - WHEN) BYD in Australia fails, it will all be on the current Australian dealership model. The Cars are great, and assholes selling them are f@cksticks.

I guess we just have to bite the bullet on this one for now. I guess this is the trade off for the price.

I'll defend North Lakes, Qld in this instance - they've been the best dealership I've dealt with out of eight brand new car purchases I've made. Didn't feel like just a source of income, actually felt like we'd known each other casually for years. But sounds like many others are having poor experiences elsewhere. Plenty of similar reports on Facebook and the Whirlpool thread.

I found BYD Indooroopilly to be great. I chopped and changed on spec levels and colours and they were awesome about it.

I've found the pop up dealer on the Sunshine Coast to be amazing. Transaction was simple, communication great, and they've helped me out with some support after purchase. Product reviews is just full of people who had a bad experience, and if argue this could be said for any dealer across the country

Compared to Tesla, their buying experience was not good. The test drive booking got lost despite a confirmation. They ' did me a favour' by fitting me in. Test drive wasnt even 15 minutes with salesman riding along. Tesla was 45 minutes by ourselves. Tesla dealership was zero pressure. BYD guy was outright lying and tried to get us to sign. Then got texts every day for a week. The car was great but dealership not so much.

Purchased my Seal Performance from Toowoomba back in February and I couldn’t fault the young salesperson (David) one bit.

I’m picking up a Seal in December from the mob at Indro. Glad you’ve had a good experience. Hey, how have you found the real-world kms? I’m trying to work out what charging solution I’ll need doing 300ks a week, mostly on the freeway. Hoping to get away with a granny charge and the occasional top-up at my local BP.
