What’s your AEC?

[deleted] | 2024-08-26 12:38 | 10 views

Just like in the title, what’s your average energy consumption for your Seal? Curious about numbers on different models and driving conditions. I used to get around 16kWh/100km driving in normal mode in the past 3 months since Ive gotten the car. Now I get between 12kWh/100km to 14kWh/100km these days on my Seal Dynamic driving in sports mode conservatively. The weather seems to influence the numbers a lot more than I thought.

That seems really good. I get similar numbers during highway driving too which I thought was counterintuitive based on what people say about EVs on highway vs city driving. Guessing you have the Premium?

So I have pretty good roads so was able to coast a lot. It’s tough to coast as much in the city but my efficiency is around 13.5 in the city. Will get back post further testing .

Do you get better numbers when using standard regen? As far as I can tell, the regen modes are software-controlled so they just set the default to either coasting or braking, but that can be controlled with one’s foot in either mode

I’ve not compared the two modes… I have only used standard so far.

Jeez, you are posting about 12-14 and here I am happy I've managed to crack 15 once or twice. Usually up at around 17-19. Highest I've gotten it was in the 23's. I have a Performance model though so am driving an extra motor.

When you own the performance, it's less about range and more about what's your fastest 0-100 sprint.

I found I had better numbers using standard regen. I'd average 14-16 on high in Eco mode, but now I get 12-14 on standard regen. It could probably just come down to my driving style though.

Averaging about 15 and on my model 3 about 13. Model 3 seems more efficient in highway but also feels so much cheaper lol

Was dropping to as low as 13.5 in the last 50km, until a short trip on a hot day yesterday blew that out to 16.5. Air conditioning worked hard for the 15 minutes, had the car outside in the sun because I needed the garage space

Mine varies a lot ... 15 - 18 for city driving, and 16 - 22 on highways, depending on slopes and stuff. I have got as low as 12-13. It's all been winter driving so far (though not super cold, like 0-10 C on average). Mine's a performance model, so sometimes the AEC goes quite high when I'm at the front of traffic light queues and my hand slips to change it to "Sport" mode haha.

14.4 last 50km, 15.3 cumulative. For the month and half I drive on normal then switched to sport as I got comfortable with the car. Sydney metro driving.

I drive a Performance here in Thailand, where it’s obviously hot. My numbers are about 17.5kwh/100km. Sport mode.
