Accelerator pedal accessory warning

Just a warning to anyone who may have bought the aftermarket brake & accelerator covers from Top BYD. For the second time, I had a situation where the pedal cover jammed the accelerator, with obvious sequalae. Both covers were fitted as per specifications. I contacted Top BYD and they've apparently removed the product from listing. Other than that, they were patently useless and unapologetic. Before anyone starts to pontificate about what I should or shouldn't have done to my own car, again, this is just a warning to anyone who may have them installed on their own Seal. A serious health and safety issue. In my instance it happened in a busy housing estate, but fortunately was able to take the cover off whilst controlling the car. I've included a picture below for reference.

They're a good roadworthy delete, but aside from that offer no benefit.

Interesting. How did it jam down? I guess at the time you had other things in your mind! :) I bought them ages ago from TopBYD, and the ones I got don't look like this same design? Haven't had any issue with them....yet!
