Brakes on after stopping.

Hey all, nice to be here. Just got my new Seal and loving it! Just one thing I'd like to change, but I can't find the setting anywhere! After braking and coming to a complete stop, the brakes stay on after releasing the pedal. Is there any way to disable that, so it behaves more like an ICE car does with its idle crawl?

Look down at your "gear stick" area. There is a button on the left with an A in a circle. Turn it off. But imo, if you use the cruise control and Auto Hold, there is no need to turn it off. The car will then move again when the moment is right.

Amazing thank you! It's mostly for parking reasons. I love the cruise control otherwise! :)

I toggle it off when parking and back on for general driving

Good idea!

If I can tack on one more question, how many kw do y'all get from your wall charger? (The one that comes with the car) I get 1.2 currently and am feeling like this is low (maybe a bad ext cable?).

I have seen 1.6 kwh from the wall charger.

It does seem to be lower on extension cord. It does say I think not to use them, but if you are, I definitely recommend getting heavy duty one.

Thought the same thing for parking, but when you put it in reverse, it says that it turns the auto hold off, so it still parks like normal.

1.2kw from the wall, sometimes 1.6kw. I think it depends on how full the battery is.

Test drove Seal Prestige and Performance the other day. I appreciated the Auto hold being on by default. All other cars have it off default. Also appreciated it turning off when parking. They have really thought about the design and have it set up the way people use things. Well, at least the way I use things. Also, the safety features were not intrusive and I was expecting the opposite. Wife just got a CX-60 PHEV and the safety features are way too sensitive.

This is not an ‘EV’ car thing, both my VW’s have it, it’s called auto hold.

I typically get 1.4kW and it doesn't matter how much charge is in the car, or if I use a 2m or a 10m extension cord (the $5 Woolies variety 😬). The extension cord length isn't going to be long enough to have any discernable voltage drop. The only concern (& hence the suggestion to not use an extension cord) is the heat generated in the extension cord when you're continuously pushing 7+ Amps for hours (or 5A in your case). For electrical/fire safety, just make sure you always uncoil the whole cord as it likely says to on its packaging. Also, if you have solar panels, set the charge scheduler in the car's energy settings to 10-4 (or whatever makes sense for your location) and charge for free & 100% green 🌞⚡🚗🌳 (until those pesky clouds show up)
