Trunk feature?

Happened three times already during school drop offs, trunk opens as per normal via the door button. Just so happens the kids would press the close button on the trunk lip at the same time as I did. This rendered the trunk in some sort of 'stuck/lock' mode where it doesn't move up or down no matter what button is pressed (door, trunk lip, bumper button). Looks like the remote fob is the only success we had to close the trunk. After it closes either manually closing the trunk or using the key fob, operation returns to normal. Has anyone experienced the same when both trunk buttons are pressed at the same time?

I had the exact same issue with my mum where I pressed the button on the boot as she pressed the key fob. It just so happened that we were at the BYD dealership picking up the floor mats when it happened. They told us it happens if you tell it to open/close two different ways before it actually starts moving, then it gets confused and one medium will think it’s open while another will think it’s closed. Like you said the only way to fix it is to close it manually and it should work from there :)
