Seal RWD in Ireland. I got the update on Sun.
I like it. It’s not a game changer, but it’s a definite improvement, and a much ‘cleaner’ interface
Apart from the obvious changes, there’s a few additional features as follows:
- the icons at the top of the screen now link to or do something as opposed to just being there. For example, the connection and Bluetooth icons link to there respective menus; the speed warning allows you to turn it off from there; pressing the time switches to the screen saver clock (1 of 3 which you set in the settings) along with music player controls
- in the Nav, the estimated soc at destination is now in the route overview (was previously in the green ‘progress bar’ on the side

Also Seal RWD, but in England. The OTA message popped up Saturday, but as I was away from home I didn't update until I got back on Sunday, just in case!
Nice update to the home screen, it's good to be able to add shortcuts to Apple CarPlay and the dashcam rather than having to scroll right as it was on the old screen. But it's still not customisable enough. I don't really need the tyre pressures on my infotainment screen, but can't see a way of removing them. I'd also like to stack the shortcuts so that they don't disappear off the screen needing a swipe to bring them back into view, because as nice as the wallpapers are there is still a lot of wasted space. Or maybe I just haven't found how to do it yet?

I disable the SLW warning from the pull down shortcuts, and there is now a confirmation message meaning two button pushes instead of one. I hadn't thought to try the icons at the top of the screen, so thanks to jaymac460 for highlighting that, will try it later.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to stack or otherwise move the shortcuts to other parts of the screen on the new ‘menu’.
If you don’t like/want the tyre pressure widget, move it to the extreme left. The new menu starts on the right, so if there is more items in it than can be displayed, anything on the left won’t be displayed without swiping
The SLW warning can be disabled using the icon at the top, but it also need a confirmation. Slightly easier than using the pull down menu, but still a 2 press operation. However I never turn it off since they reduced the volume a few updates back. Now it’s almost too quite, but it is useful, and it does stop after a few seconds, even if you maintain a speed above the indicated limit.

Does the widget bar display over the BYD navigation so you can access music controls without leaving the map?

Unfortunately not. I have the media center button on the lower ribbon, so that I can access music source (media center) from any screen (including the Nav screen).
If you just want to move to the next track you could either use the steering wheel controls, or voice control.
For voice control, ‘next track’ is possible without a wake word. To do that, open the BYD assistant ‘app’. In there (somewhere
) is the option to enable various commands, whereby you don’t have to use the wake word ‘Hi BYD’.
Some examples include ‘next track’ ‘rotate screen’ ‘stop navigation’ etc. That means that anytime, you can just say the command, without having to press the mic button on the steering wheel, or say ‘hi BYD’.

Fully working, looks good , also a manual update for the English voice control and a manual update for the offline map, looks far better than the old operating system , no doubt time will tell, shame that that there was no update for the smaller display and no update for the HUD, the UK HUD lacks a lot of what is available in the Chinese version.

I haven’t had a chance to look in depth at the V2 update but I think from what I have seen so far I think it’s definitely an improvement over the previous one. I always had a problem accessing the app menu, swiping time and again and never getting to the screen, I’m sure that was just me though. But no problem now, straight to it with a touch of the finger. I like the the small graphics for phone - radio - Spotify - sat nav but not sure about moving the info, phone charging etc to the extreme left ! But hey, it’ll all change next update anyway so I’ll not worry overly. No, on first glance I think it’s a decent update visually. Technically I haven’t a clue, as long as it works I’ll be happy.
