Front cross traffic braking - unsettling!

Striking_Channel9939 | 2024-05-14 04:59 | 8 views

On two occasions I have been waiting at a roundabout and as I let one car pass, I try to zip out before the next car gets too close (nothing unusual or dangerous), then suddenly the car hard brakes by itself. One of these instances was on our test drive in a demo. I fear this could cause someone to run up my behind. Has anyone else experienced this? I've subsequently turned off front cross traffic braking as I suspect this is the culprit, but I don't know. Yet to take it for a drive since.

yeah its a little too sensitive. i have also had it while reversing out of a space. i was moving slowly and wouldnt have hit the crossing car, but it slammed the brakes on so hard I thought i hit something.

This for me seemed to increase sensitivity after 1.1 update. Never had it before that, which is off as they backed off LKA in 1.1.

Yeah had the same issue with front cross traffic and roundabouts. I turned it off every drive for a month, but I’ve left it on the last week and haven’t had the same issue again yet. Unsure if it had been updated or I just haven’t been in a situation that triggers it unnecessarily

I own a Seal myself, but I can't help but see the irony in "safety features" having the potential to cause accidents (LKA, automated braking, etc.). The list of things that need ironing out in OTAs grows by the day, yet we're still stuck on 23.10 in Ireland.

You haven't got the 2401 yet there? That's super shit, but once you get it literally makes life bearable
