After an OTA software update, how can I find what has changed? How can I revert to an older version? Where is best to ask BYD to reconsider their many questionable design choices?

Couldn't agree more about reverting to old screen layout (before update) . Why have I now got 75% of the screen empty and icons squashed at the bottom ? I was never a fan of Windows 8 but I wish the BYD Seal U screen had a similar layout, with boxes covering the whole screen. The ones I would DEFINITELY have would be - Turn off lane assist (permanently please) Turn off child safety alert (Ditto - if I don't have a child today I'm not going to have one tomorrow!) And I would like to change the default for the sun screen to be open all the time, with me choosing to close it. Are any of these possible please Swansway? Automotive Industry

Hello, Can you let me know how I configure my new Dolphin Comfort for auto entry/closure - i.e. automatically unlocking (or locking) when approaching/leaving it, as opposed to having to use the key fob or NFC card to unlock (or close) my car?

Hello, thank you for sharing your experiences of your BYD. Unfortunately, BYD does not support or provide a way to downgrade the software version of your car's infotainment screen. After use, have you grown to like the new update? In regard to safety systems, most of these can be turned off via the infotainment screen's ADAS settings, though it often resets with each drive. This is very common in modern cars with thorough safety features. Whilst you cannot permanently turn off Lane Assist, you can turn it off each journey by Settings > ADAS > Lane Support. We hope this helps!

To set up auto-unlock on your BYD Dolphin Comfort, you'll use the BYD App to enable the Digital Key feature, which uses your NFC-enabled smartphone as a key to tap and unlock the car (often near the rearview mirror) after your dealer activates the feature and you pair it. For key fob customization (like closing windows), you adjust settings in the car's infotainment system under Vehicle Settings > Locks, but true "auto-unlock" as you walk away is generally done via the Digital Key/NFC.

Where is best to ask BYD to reconsider their many questionable design choices? Hello, thank you for your questions. If you are needing guidance on how to navigate updates and want support on BYD design, we would highly recommend approaching your local BYD dealership. Is there anything specifically you need help finding on the new update?

If you are needing guidance on how to navigate updates and want support on BYD design, we would highly recommend approaching your local BYD dealership. Is there anything specifically you need help finding on the new update? I think the issue is, we don’t know what to ask. There has been many many improvements in the software, even in the last 18 months, but mostly the user only either accidentally stumbles across these, or reads about them on forums or YouTube. I know there is general release notes with each update, but it would be nice to be able to access more detailed information for those who want to. After all, some programmers somewhere went to the trouble of making all the changes, so it’s a shame to see them not being used as widely as they could be…

Right now it would be good to know what measures to take in winter with snow on the windscreen. How do I condition the battery, can I de ice the car. Should I use a de-icer ? Etc

I can't find the Wireless Charging feature (icon) on my BYD Dolphin. Supposedly there is a shortcut on the infocentre, but I can't find it. My device (iPhone) is setup and connects via Bluetooth, so I'm confused! Can anyone let me know why I can't find the feature, shortcut, icon?
